The mouthbreathers rooting for France over their OWN COUNTRY because of Rapinoe's protests are hypocrites, false 'Patriots'.
I suspect there's very little overlap between the groups "People Genuinely Interested in the USWNT" and "People Genuinely Upset Over Rapinoe".

I mean, I'm not really that interested but I'm not fucking cheering for France.
Almost as bad as cheering for MIZZOU.

US against France at 2 Jayhawk Time.
#1 vs #4. Think US wins 2-1 in normal time.
Should be a good match.

Whatever pdub is paying you to post here, it's not enough.

Watching the Chile-Colombia game last night, the ref overturned to Chilean goals. Then, and when he gave Chilean players cards, I honestly thought they might murder him on the pitch. Intense, great game.

Chile is not a team talked about enough for not qualifying for World Cup last year. Granted, they have a gauntlet for qualifying, but they have a couple of the best players at their position in the world. Vidal and Alexis Sanchez.
They’re still a major force in International soccer. Good to see them and the US doing well in their respective cups.

I don’t think there’s much of a maybe here.
You’re cheering against your country and cheering for France.

They are rooting against a person whose actions they don’t agree with, not against the country.
I don’t agree with them, or her, to be clear though.

I agree Gq.
Rapinoe may be representing the USA on and off a soccer field as a soccer player and US citizen but she herself is not the USA nor speaks for all of USA. People have every right not to agree with what she says and how she feels - and express it - and that's one of the rights we as USA citizens cherish.
Fairly complicated way to look at it is some of those rooting against Rapinoe and the USA women feel they actually ARE rooting for their country.
I have been rooting for the USA team since day 1 but I can understand how they rub some people the wrong way. I fully admit at times myself included.
Anyway/s, bring on the English!

I would not call myself a Rapinoe fan, mostly because I just don’t follow her sport closely enough to care one way or the other.
I will say I think it’s completely badass that after our butthurt leader took time out of his day to go after a single women’s soccer player, Rapinoe turns around and scores every fucking goal for her team and country on the track to a WC final.

There are people like that. I also know Americans that are rooting against the USWNT because of Rapinoe. I know Americans that are rooting against USWNT because of the equal pay demands. There are Americans that are rooting for the US despite or because of a host of other things, including Rapinoe.
In general, even in sports, I find the hypersensitivity of patriotism and rooting for country obligation pretty nauseating.

The people I am speaking about have said they are cheering for France and now England. Not just saying they don’t like Rapinoe but actively wanting the opponent to win.

What's the over/under that the "mouthbreathers rooting"...against "their OWN COUNTRY because of Rapinoe's protests" would have felt the same about this:
and this:
""My conscious won't let me go shoot my brother, or some darker people, or some poor hungry people in the mud for big powerful America. And shoot them for what? They never called me nigger, they never lynched me, they didn't put no dogs on me, they didn't rob me of my nationality, rape and kill my mother and father... Shoot them for what? ...How can I shoot them poor people, Just take me to jail...You are my opposer when I want freedom. You are my opposer when I want justice. You are my opposer when I want equality. You won't even stand up for me in America for my religious beliefs, and you want me to go somewhere and fight — but you won't even stand up for me here at home!"

Rapinoe not playing today.
If we lose, we know who to blame.

That's odd.
Best guess is injury that wasn't disclosed?
