If Dearmon wrote a book on it Beaty has a Masters.
Perspective: my wife is a Michigan State grad. Their football program is even more of a dumpster fire then ours.

Maybe they'll hire dearmon.

I'm presuming PdDhawk is just returning to his trolling roots here, but here is some perspective for those of you who seem to be freaking out lately.
The average margin of defeat for KU recently:
2015 -- 31.6
2016 -- 25.7
2017 -- 29.9
2018 -- 15.6
2019 -- 18.0 (Koenning)
2019 -- 16.0 (Dearmon)***
***All three losses are to Top 25 teams, with two of them being road games

I respectfully disagree with Michigan State being a bigger dumpster fire.

Exactly. There still hasn’t been that big blowout loss yet. The 50 point defeats that have happened in the past.

Because our defense has been decent.

Impossible.
2 weeks ago I was told they were among the best college football teams ever assembled.

Tua is fragile.

Yes on Tua.
I'm not happy either on Minnie. Was hoping to see them in Pasadena or maybe even the CFP. I'm thinking Wisco is going to end up in the Rose Bowl now. Unless PSU and/or Michigan find a way to beat tOSU. Which neither would surprise me.

Great OU/BU game.
OU was down 21 at the half. Just tied it with 5:25 left in the 4th.

Baylor with a quality gag job. Credit to OU.

I'm confident LSU, tOSU, Clemson, and Georgia will stay in the top 4. Although, I wouldn't be shocked if someone leap frogs Georgia. The question is who would it be.
#5 Bama won by 31 on the road but lost their elite QB. Maybe them but shockingly they haven't beaten a team that is currently in the top 25.
#6 Oregon beat a bad Arizona team by 28 at home. They haven't beaten a team that is currently top 25 either.
#7 Utah beat an average at best UCLA team by 46 at home. Guess what? They haven't beaten a team that is currently in the top 25 either.
#8 Minnesota lost to favored #20 Iowa on the road.
#9 Penn State struggled with a decent Indiana team at home.
#10 Oklahoma beat an undefeated #13 on the road.

I think OU moves up to 6. That was impressive to be down 28-3 and come back on the road against an undefeated team. They’ve had one loss on the road to an above average team. I think Bama drops big time even after their win. They can’t do anything without Tua.
1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Georgia
5. Oregon
6. OU
7. Bama
8. Utah
9. Penn State
10. Florida

LSU QB came from OSU cause he couldn't win the job.
OSU QB came from UGA cause he couldn't win the job.
OU QB came from Bama cause he couldn't win the job.
Nobody leap frogs GEORGIA cause they play LSU.

I just realized there is only one game between 2 ranked teams this weekend.
Boring!
I mentioned last week that Bama hasn't beaten a top 25 team. They play 3-8 Western Carolina this weekend. They may actually drop from being #5 even with a big win. They play Auburn next weekend. Obviously they lose and they're done. They crush Auburn and do they actually have a chance to be a 3rd SEC team in the CFP?
It would take a lot of doing but it just might be possible.
My worthless predictions are....
#1 LSU wins their remaining regular season games against Arkansas and A&M. They most likely play Georgia in the SEC Championship. They lose to Georgia, I'm pretty sure they are still in.
I know I am crazy but I believe #2 Ohio State is going to lose one or even two games. If they lose to Penn State it might not be enough to knock them out of the top 4. They lose to Michigan, it might be. They lose in the Big 10 Championship, it might be a worse loss than a loss to Penn State or Michigan.
#3 Clemson has to play South Carolina at South Carolina. Big deal - right? Well, South Carolina beat Georgia at Georgia so while highly doubtful, SC just might spring an upset. I don't see Clemson losing in the ACC Championship. Therefore, I predict they are in.
#4 Georgia will probably not lose another regular season game but then they will most likely be playing LSU in the SEC Championship. If they lose is it enough to knock them out of the top 4? It all depends on what happens with #5, #6, #7, #8.
#5 Alabama - See my initial comments above my worthless predictions.
#6 Oregon wins out and all of a sudden the committee has to decide if the loss to Auburn plays or doesn't play a huge role. I think you have to give Oregon a bonus point for playing an SEC team.
#7 Utah wins out and can you give them a spot with their loss to USC? I figure it would have to take a few losses from #s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Oregon obviously being one of those losses.
#8 Penn State wins out and that means they have beaten #1 Ohio State and wins the Big 10. Their only loss would be to possible Big 10 West Champ Minnesota - although I think Minnesota loses to Wisconsin and Wisconsin wins the West.
#9 Oklahoma is done and gets fucked by being in the Big 12. Well, I guess they got fucked by losing to K State more than they are getting fucked by not having a Big 12 Championship game.
For me the most anticipated and entertaining non Championship game would have to be the Sugar Bowl assuming it's Bama VS. Oklahoma.
Least exciting New Year/s Day game could possibly be Utah VS. Minnesota in the Rose Bowl.
I'm hoping it's somehow Oregon VS. Ohio State. I'm predicting it's Wisconsin VS. Utah. Crazy thing is it could actually be USC playing in the Rose Bowl.

All good stuff except the Big 12 does have a championship game now and most likely going to be a rematch of Baylor and OU so it will not help much.
I am with you on OSU. I can see them losing one game for sure maybe two. Clemson not losing they are not playing anyone any good.
So Georgia beats LSU 24-17 and they both in. Alabama beats Auburn. So Oregon who lost to Auburn can not move up.
Three Sec teams and Clemson. We need this scenario so we can get to eight teams.

The Big 12 beating up on each other has been a pretty stupid scenario since going to 10 teams. So stubborn. Unless the playoff expands to eight teams, the Big 12 will probably only limp into an occasional meaningful playoff game. I really hate the playoff rankings and hype as it exists now. ESPN just pretends that the SEC is the only worthy participant anyway. Would sure like to see the conference winners duke it out with some at large teams. Maybe even the lower division winners.
