The latest one, and probably the two or three before that, ARE entirely Trump's mess. "Our" is too strong a word.....just like the mess in Iraq. That one is not "our" mess - it's that of W. and his Chickenhawks(TM) and their enablers.

So George W. messed it all up. DT is in the process of messing it all up. But the guy in between them........what, played it like a fiddle. Partisan much.

We have a larger military budget than all the countries you mentioned combined.

We made sure the war against ISIS would remain there instead of here. The people we used to do this we just abandoned to be slaughtered.

It's not partisan. Most Republicans are coming out against it. It's unethical, immoral, and against our own self interests. Trump just created a bunch of future terrorists that will try to get revenge on us.

Why so defensive?? I never said anything about any of the other messes.......just trying to distinguish between "our mess" where we all (mostly) thought it was a good idea and then turned out not to be (cf. Aghanistan) vs. one set of people acting contrary to cautionary advice (cf. Iran). Syria during the Obama years is in between the two, as a case can be made that at least some of the path we went down was because they didn't act more forcefully and it was not really along partisan lines. In fact Obama wanted the Congress to authorize the use of force and they didn't.

Anyway, will you ever run out the "Whataboutism" cards?

I've thought about pimping this weekly (every Tuesday) Podcast by former Obama Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor David Axelrod and republican political consultant Mike Murphy, then this tweet showed up, and made that easy. They always have a guest, like Pete Buttigieg, Karl Rove, The Mooch, and, in the link below from yesterday's show, John Heilemann. There's no flame throwing, and I find it interesting to hear how they view the week's political news. The democratic debates are fertile topics for discussion, as are the polls as they move and change, and Trump.

Axe is usually pretty interesting.

Heilemann is awesome on The Circus.
