Maybe the Dems should run better candidates and win more elections and then they wouldn't have to worry about whether Republican politicians stand by their word or not.
not that i disagree, but when pubs stack the cards and gerrymander their way to unequal representation, it’s quite the uphill battle

Are you insinuating that only republicans engage in gerrymandering?

dude, don’t even start with the whataboutisms...
i’m not insinuating anything
i’ll flat out tell you that republicans do significantly more than democrats...not to mention other voter suppression tactics
they play dirtier, and are better at it, than democrats

Show me a Democratic State gerrymandering where votes are close.
Be specific

It’s almost like republicans know they can’t win elections just on the appeal of their platforms.
(What platform?)

Definitely agree about the voter suppression tactics....and that they are better in general at dirty tactics than democrats.

Well if it makes you feel any better, when you discuss things with me i genuinely am interested in discussing and learning things.
I will read your links....although the john oliver made me laugh since it was very lobster of you to turn to a youtube vid!
I googled and found examples of dems gerrymandering...so while i believe you that Republicans do it more, i don't think that makes it okay for Dems to do it too solely because they have done it less (at least recently).

They are now. That’s why the Republicans are running scared. This hearing is a total loser move, with a loser mentality. If they think they are going to win why not abide by their own precedent and wait until January! Losers, or as per this board’s tradition , LOOSERS!!

Because they know Trump isn't going to win.
They also know it was a fake precedent that neither party would ever actually abide by in the future if they had the presidency and control of the senate.
Everyone knows it was a total cop out excuse to avoid voting no for Garland who they knew was a worthy pick.

Except they kinda won on this one, didn't they?
Paybacks will be ugly, unfortunately. We can't seem to do much without it getting ugly any more.

The senate and its silly apportionment is the author of civil wars in this country. It needs to be redone or done away with. It tends to bake in apartheid rule.

I think they just need to just stop playing so dirty.
Do something for we the people again. This is too much winning. I’m tired of winning.
