They in no way deserved to win the game.
The lack of second quarter adjustments is what bothers me. Tampa 2 all day long. Zero disguise and it’s not like the Chiefs hadn’t seen that same coverage before and yet Andy calls deep pocket drop backs over and over. By the time he went to the run game in the second half it was to late.
Hell, the general collapse of an entire team that had been through so much was surprising.
So many miscues. Self inflicted mistakes. Andy’s clock management blunder at the end of the first half. The Chiefs picked the worst time to have their worst game in the Mahomes era.
I was also perplexed by this. One team clearly looked more focused and ready to play.
Reid talking about not giving Brady extra chances and then calling a timeout without the ball after watching the GB film. Lining up way offsides on a field goal in the Super Bowl. The weird Matthieu stuff. The Bucs were in the Chiefs’ head from the get go.
The details is what made the difference. Like the Chiefs kind of lived on the edge because they could. Well last night, they couldn't live on the edge.
Andy has a lot of things covered by the magic of Mahomes. He's had some issues that go back to the Philly days with little things like that and his teams coming out flat in big games. A beat up Mahomes and playing backups at 4 of the 5 OL positions showed that Reid was not good with his gameplan.

I'm just hoping for his and Chief's fan's sake that Reid doesn't become Yost part 2 in KC.

That's a really bad comparison.
It sure seems that if Reid does not happily retire in KC it will be because of off-field stuff.

The timeout at the end of the half was dumb but that “PI” was uncatchable and Nantz said as much.

Thought that the son’s mess-up was a bad omen, and sure enough...
This game reminded me of their first Super bowl when the Chiefs couldn’t do squat against the Packers.
Brady and the “Gronk” were great. Gronkowski is a throwback to a previous generation with his lack of tattoos, his buzzed hair. A little goofy but a real stud.

Apples and onions. Football head coaches have much more substantive responsibilities than baseball managers. Yost did a brilliant job getting a group of young guys to grow up together. That fails more often than it succeeds.

Mine too. Reid just has too good of a resume for him to get constantly dragged on twitter. Yost did not, even though I do think he did a good job.
Another thing with Reid, he didn't just deliver 2 SB appearances, it has also been the most wildly successful Chiefs decade ever.

Pretty much anyone other than Suh and I think it's harmless. Because it's Suh, I think he probably had intent to give Mahomes a little something extra there.

It's discussed a bit beforehand at all levels from high school on, but until it happens, things change and some things get thrown out. Attitude towards refs have a lot to do with it too honestly, and the Chiefs had a pretty shitty (and rightfully so) attitude towards the officials last night.
