Selfs a system coach. Sometimes his stubbornness stifles creativityNewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:53 pmJimmies and Joes over Xs and Os. This is no different. Fuck the system. Adjust. Self had 2 great seasons recently in 2018 and 2020. Both were spread attacks that had guys who could win off the dribble. This team has a guy that can do that, but we’ve turned him into Nadiir Tharpe.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:52 pmYep. You are correct sir. Self brought in more athletic more skilled transfers but never really played the because they don't understand his system as well as the returning guysholidaysmore wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:50 pm
This is exactly who KU was last year with the difference being an uptick in Och’s scoring.
I think he/we hoped they were more skilled than they really ended up being. On a good team Remy is an average player. He wouldn't be a standout on a team like UK Duke Purdue etc either.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:52 pmYep. You are correct sir. Correct. As weird as this sounds, ku just isn't very athletic and not very good defensively this year
Here’s you saying this was Remys team just months ago.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:51 pm The real story might be DMac again, though. This was a big personal challenge and really didn’t respond to the challenge. Probably his last season.
This team deserves that shit. Pathetic.
It may come down to whether or not Och just gets hot as shit over a couple weekends.hasbeen wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:57 pm Really depressing to see the limitations of this team, but they've been obvious for a while.
We play Harris and Dave a bunch of minutes and they both really, really suck. Remy, my personal favorite, is like a fourth of the player I expected. His limitations, Yes' limitations, and the fact that we're trotting out a 28 year old big makes us overly dependent on Dave and Harris. That simply isn't good enough.
Maybe we get hot at the right time. We'll have to because we can't stop anyone. It won't surprise me if we get blown out in the second round again.
Nope.
Yeah that’s what it reminds me of. That team was exposed and never got better.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:59 pm Worst game for KU in like 20+ years. This is Villanova in a snowy Philly in 2004 type of whooping.
I want to know where nba scouts see the “killer instinct” from CB. That’s supposedly what has catapulted him into the first round. Have they watched him play the last month?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:58 pmIt may come down to whether or not Och just gets hot as shit over a couple weekends.hasbeen wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:57 pm Really depressing to see the limitations of this team, but they've been obvious for a while.
