What should the Chiefs trade for Christian McCaffrey?

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: NFL 2022
I would not trade anything significant for McCaffrey. He’s just going to blow out a knee again.
Re: NFL 2022
The Chiefs have the following picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. If they could pick up McCaffrey for a few of these picks and CEH, they should absolutely do it. I agree if they have to give up something significant to get him that they should not.
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Round 3 (Ryan Poles compensatory pick)
Round 4
Round 4 (Tyreek Hill trade)
Round 5
Round 6
Round 6 (Tyreek Hill trade)*
Round 7
Round 7 (Jarran Reed compensatory pick)
Round ? (Melvin Ingram compensatory pick)**
"The Dolphins own two sixth-round picks in 2023, their own pick and the Bears’ pick sent to them in the Jakeem Grant trade.
**We don’t yet know what round Ingram’s compensatory pick will qualify for. The contract value and length will determine whether it’s valued anywhere from Round 3 to Round 7. We can assume it is more than the UFA tender amount with Kansas City, which was roughly $4.4 million or 110% of his 2022 earnings. ESPN is reported a one-year deal worth $5 million, which would amount to a sixth-round compensatory pick."

Re: NFL 2022
McCaffrey's health is a huge concern but his style fits what Andy Reid likes to do perfectly. Having McKinnon and Pacheco as insurance helps for right now. With McCaffrey as your #1 you have to think about carrying 4 active RBs each week.
Re: NFL 2022
His health is the concern but a healthy McCaffrey with Mahomes would be unstoppable.
Think of all the ways Reid would line him up.
His contract is just too hefty.

Re: NFL 2022
CEH has had two passes hit him in the helmet and several drops. He has trouble finding creases to run. He has been injured regularly. His size is problematic. Either Wiliams had better explosive play making. I have been pretty disappointed. And a First Rounder.
Re: NFL 2022
CEH seems to have lost a step this year. McKinnon was way more effective and should have had more carries Monday. CEH doesn't seem to be seeing the openings and isn't hitting them quick when he does. I don't think he "sucks" but he's clearly not what he was a couple of years ago.

Re: NFL 2022
He doesn’t suck. He just isn’t close to worth his draft capital we used. He’s just a mid level RB without break away speed who is useless as a runner in goal line/short gain situations.
You’d rather still have Kareem Hunt.

Not the answer you're looking for. Sorry!
Not too sure how familiar you are with the city and roads but my suggestion is who(m)ever is driving should stay as west as possible (and perhaps avoid the Stevenson - I55?) and not go near Lake Shore Drive.

Familiar and driven in the city a lot, just never on a night gameday. Would normally take the Stevenson, but thinking about ditching the car and braving the Orange Line. Thanks, it's going to be a busy night.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 6:51 amKind me wants to say no. Unkind me wants to say yes. Hopefully this wasn't you. In the red car, not the Black guy with the gun. Well, hopefully that isn't you either.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 7:15 amFamiliar and driven in the city a lot, just never on a night gameday. Re: NFL 2022
10 Worthless thoughts 6 games in to the season.
1. Giants/Jets Super Bowl. Ok, probably not.
2. I would have bet there would be more than 1 undefeated team. Eagles are proving "the media" right.
3. First place Seattle Seahawks. What? First place Atlanta Falcons. What?
4. Right now you have to figure the Chiefs and Bills will be in the AFC Championship. I wonder what the odds are neither team makes it.
5. No winless teams. The battle for the first pick should be interesting.
6. Allen or Mahomes have to be in the lead for league MVP. I feel Mahomes is more "valuable".
7. It's still early in the season but Aaron Rodgers can't be happy. But hey, at least his hair looks nice.
8. AFC South. Titans and Colts both have winning records and yet they have been outscored by their collective opponents while the Jaguars have a losing record and they have outscored their collective opponents.
9. Is the NFC East or AFC East the best division?
10. Bears suck.

Re: NFL 2022
If Rodgers really wanted to keep Davante in Green Bay, he could have negotiated a contract that didn’t put his team in a bind.
Now he’s seeing what happens without one good pass catcher.
Before the season, the under/over on Packers wins was something like 11. I figured that was way too high.
