I'll always wonder what embiids career might have looked like if the 76ers hadn't used all their top draft picks on Ben Simmons, Markelle fultz, jahlil Okafor and nerlens Noel, and actually paired him with someone

I'll always wonder what might have happened if they hadn't overpaid Tobias harris and Ben Simmons instead of extending Jimmy butler

And signing al horford to be a big deal (I like him but why pair embiid with another center)

The basically wasted a generational talent by failing to make sensible moves to build a team around him

They'd look a lot like the Celtics with Joel Embiid.

Revisionist/step on a butterfly but:

PG Shai Gil
SG Jaylen Brown
SF Tatum
PF Porzingis ( don't with the oMg TwO BiGs - the TWolves are making it work )
C Embiid

On cue......

Only lost by 35.
To the same Warriors team that lost by 52 their previous game.

Someone make the NBA make sense to me.

I don't think Doc is much to blame for golden state shooting 50% from 3. They're good when they shoot like that.

And the bucks shot like shit.

Recipe for disaster.

Ben Simmons really has fallen far from The Process.

The Process or not, the man is getting paid. A lot. Seems the big joke is on everyone but him.

Ant's block may have been one of the top 5 blocks I have ever seen in my life. The importance of it being a factor. I'm also impressed how he wasn't injured - other than his head and wrist being sore.
P.S. The guy had 44 points in the game.

On another note.....
DeRozan may be the most underrated "clutch" player in the NBA and Podziemski (the guy who averaged 1.4 points per game for the Illini) needs to work on his layup game. Lulz

Bonus. Look at this. A fan being civil and and Dray being civil. Not usual to see that in a social media post.

Tatum had a bad game last night - missed a 3 pointer way early in the clock that woulda put them up - but probably shoulda gone for 2.

Jokic did his thing and finished the game.

Just realized based on the current standings, I will be in LA in mid April and there is a decent chance I could go see the Lakers play the Warriors in the 9/10 play in game. Only negative is April 17th I have a commitment - so I fully expect the game to be played on the 17th. You know, Guttered.
My guess is the Lakers end up the 8 seed.
I know I am crazy but to me, a Lakers/Warriors play in game would be as exciting as any other matchup in the Western Conference Playoffs.

A lot of them are. Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum are the two marquee American guys that come to mind.

Embiid ( yes, he's American and playing for the USA ).
Booker.
Haliburton.
Mitchell.
Brunson.
Zion.
Chet.
Jarrett Allen.
Maxey.

Still a lot of young/youngish talent here.

Embiid is American now? Didn't realize that. I'm still not counting him.

"Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will play for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the reigning MVP confirmed on Thursday.

"I'm really proud and excited about this decision. It was not easy. I am blessed to call Cameroon, France, and the USA home. After talking to my family, I knew it had to be Team USA," Embiid, a 6-time NBA All-Star, said on X."

Seems like he's proud to be an American to me.

I think he can be a proud American citizen and still be counted as an international player in the context of the conversation we were having.
