Time has past.
Today is a new day where if we watch a replay and see it doesn’t look like a foul and our head coach also didn’t think it was a foul, but randy thinks it was a foul, there’s a very good chance it was never a foul.

Can the other Big 12 members please get together and vote to give West Virginia to the ACC? They don't fit in the Big 12 and I hate playing their teams. Get the Backyard Brawl between Pitt and WVU into the ACC. It's a win-win.

Toney was actually offsides - you just don't ever call that in that situation.
There's a whole thread about it actually - go check it out.
In this case, there wasn't an infraction.
I don't even think Elmarko's feet touches his - I think the guy knows he's been stripped and just flops to the ground.
Frame 1 - Elmarko gets all ball
Frame 2 - Elmarko is pulling down and there might, key word might, be some incidental contact but after that initial contact certainly no way you call that
Frame 3 - I really don't think Elmarko's foot actually touches his - it's close - but if you watch the way the WVU players leg/foot moves I really don't think he makes contact there
Frame 5 - WVU bowlcut dude realizes he's just lost the ball with 20 seconds left and no one to guard the basket so he just takes a dive

We can zapruder this stuff to death. My general feeling is that a guy behind the play is more often than not gonna get whistled there.

That said, whether or not it’s worth the risk was probably a matter of seconds. It probably was NOT worth the risk given how close we were to a 10-second call…but that’s a level of situational awareness that’s not realistic to expect from a freshman in particular trying to win a game.

I think the conscious or unconscious psychology of these late calls harshing the buzz of elite programs, be they Jayhawks or Chiefs, is that the other guys deserve the break. Like Self said, can't afford to get to that point. Hoping the Chiefs can build a safety cushion that doesn't rely on not getting flagged.
