What I have found the most interesting is that more than one Niner said in interviews last night that they were unaware of the OT rule change and had not talked about OT strategies as a team while every member of the Chiefs has talked about how they have discussed it since training camp, in practice and prior to every playoff game and all players knew exactly what the plan was if they won the toss.

Shanahan talked about his plan with the analytics nerds and made his own decision and seems to have the same arrogant mindset of his father that he is the decision maker and the players can just do what he says vs. Reid who is much more of a player's coach that keeps a good dialogue with all of his players.

Hats off to Jerick McKinnon, who had missed the last 6 games due to a groin injury. Worked his ass off and got himself ready to play his former team in the Super Bowl and made a crucial 3rd down conversion with less than 1 minute to go in the 4th quarter drive that ended in the game tying field goal.

That holding call in overtime was b.s. That's the only call I felt was manufactured. It was a hell of a game at the end.

I'm still having trouble understanding why several plays weren't reviewed.

The spots needed to be reviewed.
Especially the one that would have won me 400+ dollars if spotted correctly.

Chiefs 7-0 in the post since the Tyreek Hill trade.
Gotta ship your studs if they are pricing you out at the right time to get cheaper draft picks.
We got All Pro McDuffie and Rashee Rice ( and Skyy Moore ) out of the trade.

McDuffie was shutdown for most of the playoffs.
Rashee has a decent shot to be our future no. 1 WR.

Super Bowl LVIII hung in the balance in overtime and, if any game called for a simple “do you believe in miracles” moment, it was the longest game in Super Bowl history. Yet CBS’s Jim Nantz and Tony Romo struggled in the biggest moment of the Kansas City Chiefs’ winning drive.

As the clock was winding down in overtime, Romo explained that, with the Chiefs down by three points and inside the 5-yard line, time did not matter because the game would not end under postseason-only rules that were changed in 2022. If the clock reached zero, he noted, the game would just roll into a second OT period.

An important point about an unusual situation and new postseason rule, but Romo kept talking and Nantz, the play-by-play man who has made a career of coming up with the right words at the right time, had no entry point for setting up the final play. As Patrick Mahomes was finding Mecole Hardman in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown, Nantz could say only, “First and goal, Mahomes flings it! It’s there! Hardman! Jackpot! Kansas City!”

Romo chattered as Nantz made the call and, when Nantz finished, Romo went into analysis mode as CBS showed reaction shots. Rather than letting images tell the story, Romo was focused on the game-winning play, and Hardman’s return to the Chiefs after starting the season with the New York Jets.

I like Romo letting us know about the situation but you gotta know your surroundings.

Too bad he didn't bust out an "Oh baby, what a play!"
