Christian Braun
Re: Christian Braun
I’d have given that an 8 but good job utilizing the Guttermeter.
Re: Christian Braun
I don't know, I golf with numerous non KU fans, even a UNC fan and Duke fan, and they all love CB.
He's certainly no Greyson Allen who was universally hated by all non Duke fans. And in general K doesn't help his players perception by those on the outside. The hate carries over imo.

Had CB went to Fizzou he'd be Jason Sutherland 2.0.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 6:36 am Braun MAY be the most Duke like player KU has had in a long time - and yet KU fans (such as myself) love him. Go figure.
Re: Christian Braun
Is Braun really that Duke-y, though? Honestly, I just think it surprises some people that a clean-cut white kid is such a dog.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 7:56 am I don't know, I golf with numerous non KU fans, even a UNC fan and Duke fan, and they all love CB.

I don't think of Braun as Duke-y. But I am very very much biased.

He's white, so gutter thinks he's Duke-y.jfish26 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 10:12 amIs Braun really that Duke-y, though? He also can't resist the urge to antagonize KU fans.

CB has a dirty mouth but is not a dirty player. I recall Sutherland being a dirty player, but maybe that's my distaste for him.InfiniteJ wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 9:57 amHad CB went to Fizzou he'd be Jason Sutherland 2.0.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 6:36 am Braun MAY be the most Duke like player KU has had in a long time - and yet KU fans (such as myself) love him. Re: Christian Braun
I didn't care for Redick that much at the time but he has a bit of Redick yap in him.
Once Redick got to the NBA, I actually liked him well enough.

Re: Christian Braun
Yeah, it was the dirty play on top of being a big mouth that separates the two. But I could do without Braun screaming "bitch" all the time. Stick to the f-bomb.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 10:16 amCB has a dirty mouth but is not a dirty player. It's probably happening. That's certainly the single outcome I think is the most likely.

i doubt it’s a full year
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Christian Braun
Braun was probably my least favorite player of all of the regular rotation players. Agbaji, Wilson, McCormack, Harris, Mitch and Remy are all far more likeable for me personally. Maybe I am clouded by the fact that I have heard that Braun is not particularly well liked around campus by some fellow students. Seems to have been one of the few players on the team that students thought was an arrogant asshole.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 6:36 am Braun MAY be the most Duke like player KU has had in a long time - and yet KU fans (such as myself) love him. Re: Christian Braun
You realize I wasn't the one who threw that out there, right? I was responding to a post that mentioned it in response to my CB post.
Either pay attention or take the trolling to the correct areas.

unless your head has been inside your arse these last several months, a lengthy ban is absolutely a likely outcome for HCBS. try to keep up.
Re: Christian Braun
Of course I don't think he should be suspended at all. BUT, I think anything less than a full year is pretty much toothless.

Sure. But we're not privy to the internal politics (and it certainly appears that somewhere, there is a group of people who are out for blood).CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 10:59 amBut toothless also ends the entire mess (for the NCAA).
Re: Christian Braun
I would like to see him stay another year. I agree that he could lose b!tch some but I really like the fire in him. I don't watch a ton of NBA but I don't see that fire on display as much in the NBA (at least not in the regular season). Think he would enjoy another year of college and then start collecting bigger checks in the NBA/overseas in a few years. I think he could get 4 or 5 in the NBA and then 4 or 5 overseas if he wanted and be set.
