Wasted season for Pettiford and from a selfish fan standpoint, we have no idea what we are getting with him next season.

Hopefully he can get a medical RS at the very least...

We're getting a ESPN top 100 PG.
Those have worked out in the past.
( Frank and Vonte actually unranked in ESPN )

Proceed to trash ESPN's recruiting sites below.

I'm not really worried about PG, with Harris, Yes, Pettiford, and Cuffe...I'm more worried about someone leaving that I am that one of them doesn't emerge as a very good to great college PG.

Take it to the 22-23 lineup thread.

It's pretty clear that Self wants to play 2 combo guards. He prefers Yesefu off the ball, and that may be what he wants for Cuffe too. If that's the case, he's gonna need 3-4 small ball handling guards.

randy sounds scared that a healthy Bobby is a threat to his boy

I like Bobby.
I think he's got that disruption on defense and some good speed.
In the end, I don't care who gets the PG starting spot next year as long as they're good.

But now, just a little bit of me wants Pettiford to surprise and be better than Yes, b/c randy calls our own players trash, unless it's Yes shooting 2/3 with 0 assists and all of a sudden he's NPOY Frank Mason.

Cuffe is a bad ball-handler. Closer to an undersized 3 than a 1

I'm 100% in favor of player mobility; coaches can do as they please.

But, it's expecting an awful lot of a 20 year old to take the long view and consider Self's history with guys like Pettiford.

i actually like Yes

i just think he gets into trouble when he tries to do too much…which has been too often for my liking (and Bill’s, apparently)

he needs to be a lock-down defender, and drive and distribute

we’ve already got the outside shooting covered

He's still little and that's all that matters to self.

Hopefully he learned from the last time we had a 6'2 super athletic non-point-guard playing point guard

Hm.
Trying to figure out who this is.
Not Vonte.
Not EJ.

That's what he likes, Russ and Chalmers with Collins off the bench.
Collins and Taylor
Taylor and EJ
Vonte and Mason
Vonte and Newman
He wanted Remy and Harris this year
