Taking 24 people out of the stands is pretty tall punishmentBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 5:16 pm Yes. Fans. If the volleyball player could hear it then so could the people in the crowd. Nobody did anything to stop it.
Fuck BYU. Fuck their racist fans.
The NCAA could do a number of things. I think a good start would be no fans allowed at the next volleyball home game.

You're only off by over 5400. At last in regards to that match. Maybe they only get 24 fans for other matches?Overlander wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 4:30 pmTaking 24 people out of the stands is pretty tall punishmentBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 5:16 pm Yes. Re: F the NCAA
What exactly are we doing here?
I’m obviously generally not a Trumper, but at this point I’d support us taking the position that any punishment is illegitimate. How could whatever comes be anything but arbitrary/capricious/bad faith, where the NCAA clearly has no idea what it’s doing?

Speculation, but I bet a favorable deal for KU is nearly in place.
And what a clusterfuck. IMO, shows the iarp was never truly independent. Burn it all to the ground.

How is illy going to sleep at night if the NCAA doesn't drop the hammer on KU?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 8:44 am Speculation, but I bet a favorable deal for KU is nearly in place.

Re: F the NCAA
saw something like that too. think illy may have jumped the gun? its like, due process is a necessary thing or else we'll all just be our own judge and jury, but dragging a case for 6 years is no longer due process so the ncaa can suck a goat.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:47 pm Back to the BYU story (sorry). I worry about you sometimes. If you ever need someone to talk to about anything please don't hesitate to reach out to someone who gives a fuck about you (assuming you can find one). Nobody deserves to be that unhappy.
Re: F the NCAA
BYU investigating this themselves is about as reliable as Duke's investigation into Zion Williamson's recruitment.hoopla wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 8:34 amsaw something like that too. think illy may have jumped the gun? its like, due process is a necessary thing or else we'll all just be our own judge and jury, but dragging a case for 6 years is no longer due process so the ncaa can suck a goat.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:47 pm Back to the BYU story (sorry). Re: F the NCAA
That duke girl is a liar. Just wanted her 5min of fame apparently.
Glad BYU cleared all this up for us. I should have known better than to believe that girl.

Re: F the NCAA
shouldn't be too hard to get the real story. Lots of other people there, fans from both teams, players, coaches. If it was loud enough for her to hear than I can assume many others heard it and they won't all get together to collude on a cover story for either side...
Just Ledoux it
Re: F the NCAA
I see absolutely zero reason to believe the Duke player(s) lied about this.
Why would she make something like that up?
It's a lot easier for me to believe a bunch of white kids from BYU got their giggles in while 1 or a few of them said racist shit to the duke players. Of course none of them (byu fans) heard anything racist. You think they'd admit to a reporter they heard it and did nothing about it?

While 99.999% in agreement, and the rest of the Duke players are there for verification, see Jussie Smollett.

Re: F the NCAA
Jussie Smollett is an actor/singer. He wanted to benefit from the publicity.
This is a college student who probably wishes none of this ever happened. She gains little to nothing from this incident being fabricated.

what you can't do in this day and age, is get away with anything. if you did it, it's on video somewhere. somebody has it.
