2) What's your ethnicity?
I might have screwed up that question...lol. I was stumped, so I answered, White and Caucasian.

No evidence provided, stresses it’s just his opinion, but wanted to mention it either way

Got my email this morning (see below), looked immediately for availability, booked my appointment for Tuesday.
Ok, so my question is..... For the past few weeks I was desperate to get vaccinated ANYWHERE within a 50 mile radius of where I live and there were ZERO available appointments using MANY resources.
All of a sudden today, Northwestern had a shit ton of available appointments for next week. WHY?
Simple answer probably is supply and demand - but who/what/why/where/when/how was there ZERO availability let's say today - and yet next week they are probably going to vaccinate at least a couple thousand people. Sorry but I can't help but believe the distribution has been poorly planned and executed and I wonder how many people have lost their lives because of it. I didn't expect it to be perfect but it's been FAR from it.

Why do we still have quadruple digits deaths given the CDC's own statistics regarding predicted IFRs by age combined with the fact that most at risk have been vaccinated for several weeks now? I would like to see the stats on the deaths we're now seeing in terms of demographics and whether or not they're vaccinated, can't seem to find that.

My expectations were that the distribution/s would be handled better.
I'm not going to go in to details right now but I promise and assure you that I am well versed in many of the issues we have had in the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago. It's not just in this state (and city) that elected officials and medical professionals feel the same way that I do.
Like I said, I didn't expect perfection - but I sure expected it would be handled better.
Meanwhile, of course it could be much worse so I suppose maybe I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Sometimes I look for and find the worst of everything - and sometimes the worst of everything looks for and finds me.
Yes, there have been plenty of good things to celebrate in regards to the vaccine but as I stated (and as my guess is many would agree), there are ways the distribution could have been and should have been handled better. That's all.
Hopefully I get the "fungus" protection injected in to my body tomorrow that will protect me against the other strains of the Coronavirus that are being discovered since these vaccines were developed.
Would really suck if we had to go through another wave of needing different vaccines, the development of them, and the distribution.

I received my 2nd shot of Moderna Saturday morning. No reactions, not even a sore arm, which caused me to wonder, for a nanosecond, if my shot contained any active ingredient. Further down the rabbit hole I found myself wondering how the vaccines are mass produced to achieve a uniform concentration of the dead virus. Hey, PhD, do you have a Cliff Notes explanation of the process?

I think, in the case of Moderna and Pfizer at least (?), the vaccine isn't a dead virus thing. In addition to the GatesLink 2020 chip, it's mRNA that tells your DNA how to react to the virus' spike protein?
