Pretty cool that her replacement scored the 1st goal.

US played really well that half. Getting plenty of chances. They aren't the best at keeping possession and I don't think that's their game. They want to hit fast and get you when you don't expect it.
France was 60/40 in possession and England up at half with 56/44 possession.
But by watching both games, US seems to be in complete control.

England botches that penalty kick.

Yeah, should have put that ball up vs keeping it low

Even at that height, it wasn't in the corner.
Just a bad kick.

Alex Morgan "sipping tea" or smoking joint? I'm told the former, originally I believed the later but now makes sense.
Douche move on her part?

No, not when England’s coach invokes manners with African team that got jobbed or the US team scoring 13 goals.
And then his team fouls like crazy.
Fuck him.

I think it's fucking great. Fuck England and their haven't-won-shit-but-telling-us-to-mind-our-manners ass. They are the Notre Dame football of the Women's World Cup.

USA plays Jamaica tonight at 9:30 ET on FS1 in the semis of the Gold Cup.
Jamaica beat us in a friendly not a month ago.
Game is in Nashville.

Yeah I'm not placing much stock in the previous friendly. US had a raw 11, they tried something different and it was boring. Also completely changed formation and did a 3-4-2-1.
This squad tonight will have Pulisic, McKinnie, Zardes, Boyd among others who are the top guys.

I do find it hilarious that England has won the Men's World Cup once in 66 and never in women's when it started in 1991.
But yet, they are the ones with the rules of soccer and all that crap. Dumb.
I just think it's great that the US actually voted for Independence on July 2, 1776. And 243 years later, US is still beating England.

Another weird soccer thing I just figured out. Mexico hasn't finished higher than the QF in WC History. That's it. The freaking Quarterfinals! Hilarious.

I think it's finals or the whole thing is a fail.
If you loose to Mexico, I get it, but let's not loose to Jamaica.

So, they're going to show me a replay of the womens World Cup game during a delay in the men's game?
Fine. It's the World Cup, I get it. I'd rather see a replay of the Trinidad trashing, but OK.
But why show me the half where zero goals are scored?

As much as we chuckle at the insignificance of the Gold Cup...I mean, watching this soccer here, of these top 4 teams in the world....

Also maybe summer US soccer should be in the West and the NE.
Not the magnetic attraction of storms that likely will only get worse in the future.

Well, I didn't watch this the other day, but that reversal ( and yes it was offsides and yes i'm a US fan ) is exactly why replay sucks in sports.
Especially uniquely in soccer where there should be no stoppage.
Don't like at all unless it's blatant.

This delay has made a mockery of the broadcast.
Unscripted analysts are fun.
