Illy, I'm disappointed in you. No Masters talk?
Obviously like Spieth this week. Can DJ repeat?
Weather going to be tricky all weekend. A bit more windy than usual and occasional showers.

I just saw Tiger was doing 84-87 mph in a 45 zone

99% throttle at one point. They think he hit accelerator instead of brake based on sheer force placed on accelerator. His the trees at 75mph. Ouch.
Said he has no memory of the accident.

Haha sorry. Was busy with work early in the week because i worked zero minutes Thursday and Friday. Golfed and watched golf instead.
Definitely the 1st time anyone has ever complained about me posting too little!
Hideki should be able to get it done today. Jordan could make a run, but I think he's too far back. Xander needs to apply pressure if anyone is going to have a chance to catch Hideki.
Side note: freaking awesome Jose Maria Olazabal made the cut!

Golf is pretty dull but I always try to catch the last nine of the masters.
Good for Japan.

Good for Matsuyama. Xander choked on 16 when he had all momentum.

Did the same on the front.
Xander is a hell of a golfer but hasn't learned to close in majors yet imo.

Going on a little 3 or 4 day golf adventure in about a week....
Starting off with Valhalla in Louisville, which will be really cool. They have a PGA Championship in a few years and have had several majors and a Ryder Cup there so it should be a treat.
Then if we survive the night in Louisville we are heading to french lick Indiana the next day. Doing a round at the Donald Ross at French Lick (as well as a morning round at a place called sultans runs)....the next day is 36 at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick which is supposed to be one of the longest and hardest courses in the country.
Totally lucked into Valhalla as it is private. Somebody we know has a connection to the pro and he's setting us up. Haven't played any of the big name Jack Nicklaus designs yet, so i am curious to see it. Currently ranked #93 in the country by golf digest. Was ranked as high as the mid 30s in the early 90s....the dye course is probably top 2 or 3 course in indiana if i had to guess (probably behind Victoria National and Crooked Stick).
(I know, not many golfers here...☹
)

We're going down to Big Cedar this weekend and I'll play Payne's Valley on Saturday. Really looking forward to it, although I pulled something in my midsection last week and about collapse after every full-tilt swing.

Had a buddy that played Valhalla. Said it's incredible and so difficult.
I want to make the trip down to Branson and play the courses down there. Hoping to take a group of my friends down there for a weekend and play Friday-Sunday at most of the courses.

My buddy played Paynes Valley and had nothing but good things to say.
It is designed to be very forgiving off the tee so that golfers of all skill levels can enjoy themselves which i think is really a good way to design a course like this.

Big fan of having a big fairway, but a tough approach shot. Give everyone a chance off the first tee, and then let them figure out the rest.

It's also a must for a high-traffic vacation/resort course. You're going to have golfers of all levels, and you have to keep things moving.

I think one of the biggest issues with the growth (or lack thereof) of golf is that so many golf courses overly punish beginning to average golfers. So dumb to see municipal courses with impossible greens, difficult pin placements, crazy narrow fairways, super high rough, etc.
Totally discourages newer players.
Also, love watching a player hit a tee shot into the fairway only to find themselves in a unkept or shitty section. I tell players all the time to move it to better grass. You hit it in the fairway, you shouldn't have to hit from a shitty lie because the greenskeepers is either an idiot, or lazy, or the course just doesn't have the funds available. But there's always some fuckwad in the group that makes a comment about "playing it as it lies"

Exactly.

Golf is also the wrong length, for attracting new people. 9 is too short. 18 is too long.

18 wouldn't take too long if people took some of Cascadias suggestions (as well as playing the correct tees).
