Watching Oregon St Beavers at Arizona St Sundevils

Neither are very good. Walton is calling the game and he's way high. OSU has a guy that's gotta be 7'5" and terrible.

And Walton loves to say "Beavers"

Duke looses the no. 13 overall recruit Jalen Johnson as he opts out to prep for the draft.

This is a good example of a very fucking stupid Tweet:

Why should an NBA team give two flips about how Johnson treated IMG Academy, the McDonald's All America game or Duke basketball? Each of those literally exists in order to, or because it does, get more from Johnson than they give him.

If anything, his option-shopping is a rational and indeed intelligent response to the entire amateur basketball system. His only power is to choose where and for whose benefit he plays basketball. I understand playing for free (or for grossly deficient "compensation") to where it will secure him a life-changing payday, and not a moment more.

No no no bro, Duke basketball is a brotherhood.

...assuming your brother can buy you McMansions and luxury SUVs...

Is Jalen Johnson even that good?

It’s one thing for like a top-2 type of nba star in waiting.

But top 13 is like, closer to Quentin Grimes territory?

He couldn't get PT on an average ( and very below average by Duke's standards ) college squad.
It's an instance of impatience, hearing people around you saying it's not your fault you're ready for the league, and expecting things to happen right away - so yes, Grimesesque.

Is it that he couldn’t get PT on a below average dookie team, or that he didn’t wanna get caught up in some pretense of amateurism when he knows there’s already a better market for him?

"Duke freshman and projected lottery pick Jalen Johnson"

"ESPN has Johnson ranked No. 6 in its NBA draft rankings, the No. 1 small forward in the class."

You wonder how much of it is COVID and how much of it is the fact that dook just sucks.

Regardless, just another way the rules are hurting CBB.

The rules causes covid? The rules caused duke to suck? The rules overrated Jalen Johnson?

Lets not blame everything on the rules, it muddies the argument on what is actually wrong with the rules

I don't think he is necessarily that good of a player yet. clearly very athletic tho. hence the draft stock being high

All the Mizzou fans running their yaps when they were #10 and we fell out of the rankings for the first time in 12 years sure have disappeared quickly. Too funny.

The highlight of their year will be a screenshot of last Monday's AP poll.
