You can't win a Super Bowl with a defense this lost.

Come on. I'm a guy who catastrophizes and I say even if the Chiefs lost all 5 (almost zero chance they do) I would still not count them out.
Remember, all a team has to do is make the playoffs - to win the Super Bowl.
OK, 1-7 with losses to the Ravens, Chargers and Bills. Got it. Gonna put my phone down for a while, this is just dumb.

All this does is just make KC sports radio and Chiefs twitter highly comical for a week.

These are good lessons for Mahomes: When you're a target, you have to outprepare every week and make sure the entire team is ready to play.
I agree completely

Need to get the injured guys back. Weird that Bosa was faster than ever. The Charger injured all came back.

Like who, Frank Clark? He only had 2 less tackles and the same number of sacks he has on the season by taking the day off today.

1-7 means while highly doubtful, they could still end up 10-7. Right?
To me, "dumb" is thinking if the Chiefs aren't 6-2 after their first 8 games that they are in "real trouble".
Were they in "real trouble" when they were 6-4 in 2019?

Remember when the Chiefs lost two in a row at home on the LIV run. Remember how bad the Bucs looked last year on their run to the super bowl. We are so use to seeing the Chiefs pull something out of their ass and win these type of games that when they don’t the whole world is falling down. Reality says Mahomes is still trying to figure out an ENTIRELY new offensive line and a defense that looks completely lost. If there was anyone in the league that you could choose from a QB and coach standpoint to figure out I wouldn’t choose any other than 15 and Reid. It looks ugly right now and rightfully so they deserve all of the criticism but if they still look this bad in December then ya there is reason for concern.

It's not the number, it's the opposition. Only the Bills in that list are good. Lose to the WFT, the eagles and the Giants and that means the Chiefs fucking suck.

Gotcha! I wasn't really taking that in to account.
I was busy thinking no matter how we break it down today with what ifs, I wouldn't be in panic mode just yet.

You guys just hear/read about Reid? Taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Obviously not good but he seems to be alert.

Christ man. Clark has had a hamstring injury all year. Gay hasn't played. Ward and Fenton were out.

It sounded precautionary and it was HOT as blazes today but you have to wonder if the Britt Reid situation wasn't the beginning of the end for him in the NFL.

Andy has had some personal tragedy for sure. A team that is just going through the motions not helping either.

I'm not sure if I would describe the Chiefs play thus far as 'just going through the emotions'. I thought the defense responded decently well (which isn't that what we as Chiefs fans wanted from the defense.) but the offense turned it over four times. I don't see anything wrong with the effort. They are turning the ball over, they can't stop anyone in the red zone and the breaks they got the last two years they haven't got outside of Cleveland.

Huh? The dude has gotten us to back to back SBs. He probably got light headed from being really fat and overheated. Dragging in his son's situation is goofy speculation.

I was at the game with some buddies. It was hot out there. Sucks, because it's probably the only game I'll attend in person this year, just too expensive and time consuming to go to every game and then we lose on a bad pass at the end. I was drained after getting home around 4. We got to Arrowhead around 9am. Seems like the last 3-4 games I've been to the Chiefs have lost, so maybe I shouldn't attend anymore..lol. Still fun and exciting game, just a bummer when we lose a game we should have won.

Yep, but not too worried...yet. Denver has had an easy schedule, their schedule gets much tougher. Raiders and Chargers are both good, but I think the Chiefs are a better all round team. They'll improve as the season goes on, but they need to start winning games and not get in a funk.
