i don’t see any way ANY team makes it through without at least a few losses…the league is just too tough this year
I haven't seen KenPom projections, but it surely has KU and Kansas State as the 2 league favorites in some order. (Texas may be in there, though)

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: 2022-23 CBB Season
Isn’t kstate performing the best in large part cuz they have some lead guard who can get his?

They're playing well, but the math is really in Kansas State's favor having already won at KenPom 7 and KenPom 22.KUTradition wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:09 pmisu is right there too…at least for nowCrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:05 pmAny road win is a great win. KU is really good, but our 2 road wins are against the 2 worst teams in the league record-wise. Similarly, ISU's road wins are against the 7th and 9th best KenPom teams.
But again, this could all look wildly different in a month, and almost no prediction is a bad one (other than Baylor wins, lol).

I would like to know from someone like Lunardi who would be the #1 overall seed: a 5 loss KU team or a 1-2 loss Houston team? I bet Houston would choose to be in the KC regional.

Depends who our 5 losses are to an extent, but looking at their record/remaining schedule, I'd say 5 loss KU deserves it over 2 loss Houston. They've lost to the only ranked opponent they've played.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:23 pm I would like to know from someone like Lunardi who would be the #1 overall seed: a 5 loss KU team or a 1-2 loss Houston team? Edit: oops. Missed the Virginia game. So 1-1 against ranked opponents. It'd be close. I see arguments both ways.

I tend to agree. And someone like KenPom would also be helpful here as to how Houston's schedule affects their math down the stretch. KU has a lot of available Quad 1 wins, but as it stands, Houston is well in front of KU on the metrics. I knew that OU game would make us take a hit on the metrics--bad offense and defense at home against a not great team.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:27 pmDepends who our 5 losses are to an extent, but looking at their record/remaining schedule, I'd say 5 loss KU deserves it over 2 loss Houston. Markquis Nowell 5'8" 160 lb guard from Harlem. Averaging 17.2 ppg. Had 36 against Texas and 32 against Baylor. Tang is looking like a good coach. Wonder if he is using the play-hard chart.ousdahl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:50 pmGenuinely asking.

Hey Q: If you think DH looks like a middle schooler then you should see that little guy on KState who can "get his".
LOL. Can't make this stuff up.

The best part apart about Tang being the real deal is that he won't hang around Manhattan for long.
