Is anyone else eligible to get the vaccine, wanting to get the vaccine, and still unable to get the vaccine? It seems like it's available everywhere except my county.

C'mon Cascy, it states, overtly, that the virus is less dangerous than the vaccine.

jokes aside, i don’t know why anyone would think it better to play russian rulette with a disease that causes mini strokes in your brain (proven medical fact) and long-term respiratory issues (proven medical fact), than to take a vaccine that a minority of health professionals think MIGHT have some sort of long-term effect

(other than they’re scared pussies)

Pfizer unveils its oral SARS-CoV-2 inhibitor

The antiviral candidate is the first orally administered compound to enter clinical trials that targets the virus’s main protease

... Because PF-07321332 can be taken orally, as a pill or capsule, it could be given outside of hospitals if it proves to be safe and effective. People who have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 could take it as a preventative measure, for example....

... PF-07321332 was developed from scratch during the current pandemic. It’s a reversible covalent inhibitor that reacts with one of the main protease’s cysteine residues. Owen also discussed the chemistry involved in scaling up the compound. The first 7 mg of the compound were synthesized in late July 2020. Encouraged by the early biological data, the Pfizer team aimed to scale up the synthesis. By late October, they’d made 100 g of the compound. Just two weeks later, the chemists had scaled up the synthesis to more than 1 kg. Owen said 210 researchers had worked on the project....

I would expect that J&J is very much on the "the US should vaccinate the world" train.

to be fair, unless/until there are effective treatment alternatives, nobody is really getting back to any kind of real normal until that happens

the vaccination disparity in the US is stark enough...it gets way worse when you look at developed vs developing countries

and as has been said, the longer “we” let it fester, the higher the likelihood it comes back to bite us even harder

So now over 100 million Mericans have at least one shot, with around 60 mil fully dosed.

Even if there was like a .1% chance of negative effects, shouldn’t we have heard of like a hundred thousand cases by now?
