Started writing a response but not sure it's worth it. Do you honestly just believe they are randomly reporting this rape case and no others and there is no insinuation there?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 8:17 pmIf you can't point out every single case of rape then you can't point out any rape. Got it.
(You know it doesn't actually insinuate that ALL illegal immigrants are bad, right?)
No...I've said numerous times in this thread Fox picked this out for a reason (just like nearly all stories are picked out for a reason). That reason is border security...that reason is NOT that somehow they're insinuating that ALL illegal immigrants are committing rape. I have no idea how we've made this leap...and I don't even watch or like Fox news.Mjl wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 2:07 amStarted writing a response but not sure it's worth it. And yes, he is convinced that the majority of illegal immigrants are indeed serious criminals.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 8:17 pmIf you can't point out every single case of rape then you can't point out any rape. This bull shit got a fucking idiot elected "President". Whether you believe it or not......
The article shows yet another example of the fact that this administration is letting it be known that ALL immigrants, even the ones who have been here for decades, are now under review and at risk of being deported.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 8:19 am So confused why you feel the need to mention the color of their skin....even more confused why instead of saying their ethnicity you think it's better to just call them non-white, as if whites are the only race of American citizens....
Here's the important snippet from the article YOU posted....
""The White House unilaterally reinterpreted the agreement in the spring of 2017 to exempt people convicted of crimes from its protections, allowing the administration to send back a small number of pre-1995 Vietnamese immigrants, a policy it retreated from this past August. Last week, however, James Thrower, a spokesperson for the U.S. embassy in Hanoi, said the American government was again reversing course.""
Your article doesn't say they're sending back ALL "non-white" people from those countries.....just some of the ones who have committed crimes....why is that an issue for you?
Dude, they're only deporting the 1s with criminal records....why is that so unreasonable?twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 9:53 amThe article shows yet another example of the fact that this administration is letting it be known that ALL immigrants, even the ones who have been here for decades, are now under review and at risk of being deported.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 8:19 am So confused why you feel the need to mention the color of their skin....even more confused why instead of saying their ethnicity you think it's better to just call them non-white, as if whites are the only race of American citizens....

You can bury your head in the sand and buy the simpleton explanation provided to you but that is what is happening.
Can we start a movement to remove the word "literally" from 99% of the times it is used? It is nearly as annoying pervasive as the word "like".IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 10:25 am People who are here and are not citizens should absolutely be at risk of deportation if they committed crimes.....it's literally that way in most countries around the world....and in some countries it's WAY worse than that.
That's a topic worth discussing.
