Zion is not human. He is physically built different than anyone I have ever seen. He blew straight through the foam of the shoe. Everything else held in place. That is crazy. Also why most players will switch shoes after every game or even at halftime.

Mild knee sprain is the PR way of saying 'we don't have an MRI machine on sight so that is what we are going to call it until they do an MRI today'.

Hopefully the brotherhood looks out for his best interests and tells him not to risk it the rest of the year

Gutter, that comment about Adidas money vs Nike money was definitely funny.

I'm curious if they've tracked down the exact location in the factory where the shoe was made, and have taken appropriate action on the boy who made the shoe, along with the rest of his family.

Great night turns in to a terrible night for Boeheim. He killed someone.

Ugh that would be horrible. People shouldnt be walking on the highway. Happens far to often. I hate Beoheim but would never wish that on anybody.

If he hadn't gotten hurt, this could have become one of those rare, mythical type moments like Bo Jackson running up a wall...actually Bo Jackson had about 10 of those types of moments.

Pretty sure whichever shoe company he signs with will use this in an add campaign about some new and improved shoe, the Zion 1.0.

If he had taken the Adidas money instead of the Nike money, maybe he'd still be sitting on the KU bench in street clothes ineligible but with two functional shoes and knees.
I laughed, hard.

Like when Bo snapped a bat over his knee. Unheard of at the time.

Can't say I am a Jimmy B fan but I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I'm not even the world's biggest Bo fan, but he also had the All-Star game homerun that interrupted the President, throwing out Harold Reynolds at home, any number of runs against the Bosworth-led Seahawks. Or when he snapped a bat over his head.

Tecmo Bowl Bo had even more moments.

As long as we are associating what happened last night with Nike's stock being down 1% today....
Did Zion order a poisoned Domino's pizza once he got back to his room and post on social media about it? Oops, my bad. Seems they had a bad earnings report.
I do actually believe The Nike fallout absolutely played a role in their stock being down today.
Not sure how big of one but one none the less.

Here ya go Illini, there are some ANALysts who seem to think Nike will be ok.

I have always liked the idea of investing in stocks right when things like this (and airplane crashes, data breaches, etc.) happen.

Nike will be just fine. This is a small blip in the radar for them.

from nikes point of view... this couldnt have happened at a more iconic moment. maybe the most touted recruit in decades ( since lebron) blows out his shoe and gets hurt in the opening seconds of the biggest regular season game of the year.

This recruit was linked to adidas through high school.. Adidas sponsored AAU team.. always seen wearing adidas.. being recruited/steered towards adidas sponsored college teams. ends up signing with duke and nike. Adidas becomes the first to take the fall for illegal recruiting activity. This happened just days after an adidas employee, who also worked many years for Nike, confesses in trial that Nike (and everyone) is paying these kids illegal bribe money too

This is the most ridiculous dosage of karma I've ever seen in sports. The timing is insane. Almost doesn't seem real
