'Utopia' on Amazon Prime. Watch it.
Ah, I rarely scroll back through pages. Been fun so far. I wanted to preview it to see if I thought my wife would like it. I may go ahead and watch it through without her and then watch it a second time with her. She is going to have a lot of questions in a show like this, I need to be ready.
You should definitely check out the first run of this show from 5 or 6 years ago. It was broadcast by the BBC. I liked it more than the American version . . . it was a lot weirder and quirkier.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I have written myself a note on my phone to try to remind myself. Now I just need to set a reminder about the reminder....

Watching Borat 2 tonight.
I watched it last night after the Petty "tribute".
Didn't think it was too good. A lot of "off color" humor. I felt the most meaningful parts were the Black baby sitter and the very end. The two guys he lived with were interesting and actually likable guys - despite their being bat shit crazy. The Rudy part.....Rudy happily went in to a bedroom - to have a drink. Why go in to the bedroom if it was simply just an interview - and the interview was over?
Not sure if he thought she was 15 or older but he clearly also asks her for her phone number. Enough said?

What kind of 15 year old does interviews like that? I am pretty confident Rudy didn't think she was 15....and i also pretty confident he was about to let her suck his dick.
How they tricked him into signing release forms and not reading the fine print is hilarious/scary. What an idiot.

It's not clear if he was told she was 15 (portraying a 15 year old). Perhaps he wasn't.
As an attorney, you would think he did sign something and knew what he was signing but I also figure his "people" probably were as IRresponsible as he was.
I don't think Rudy is an idiot. I do think he did an idiotic thing in terms of what happened in the movie.

Regardless of whether explicitly sexual, think Rudy’s ego was so flattered by her fawning that he wasn’t thinking straight either way.
And I’d imagine he signed some boilerplate release that comes with any interview, nor expecting it to be portrayed like that.

There were some laugh out loud moments.
I enjoyed the fax machine conversations.
Not nearly as good as the first, but that was one of the funniest movies i've ever seen.

Yeah.
Sequels are so rarely as good as the first.
Given the whole unique premise, and that the joke is lost if anyone recognizes the character, it’s amazing they were able to pull off any sequel at all.

Oh dang. I thought this was the wildfire thread.
Though to be fair, there’s been a lot of East troublesome shit on tv.

Anyone started S2 of The Mandalorian yet?
I’m debating when to start. I may wait for Thanksgiving.
I rewatched S1 this past week.

HBO Max's Raised by Wolves is such good sci-fi so far.
Classic religion v science, what makes a man different than a machine etc.
Good visuals too.
If you liked Ex Machina or Westworld or hell, even Star Wars, this series is a must watch.
