Speaking of Jews (Joe Lieberman) I wouldn't vote for....
Someone I know who shall remain nameless went to see Bernie last week.
I asked why.
"I love Bernie".
I asked why.
Silence.
About 5 seconds later.
"Because he's great".
Then I was silent - and gave up.
One of those times when silence speaks volumes.
Kind of reminds me of the majority of Obamers in 2007 and 2008. Asking why do you like Obama was pretty much like asking how do you perform brain surgery. The most common answer/s - "Hope and change".
Hope for what and change what?
"Uhhhhhh"
Back to Bernie.... On basically polar ends of the spectrum I feel Berners are as nauseating as Trumpers.

Choices? You want choices?

"Third party"? meh:

Finland's Prime Minister Sanna Marin narrowly lost a bid to stay in power on Sunday as her party came up less than a percentage point short in a national election.

The center-right National Coalition Party (NCP) headed by Petteri Orpo eked out a victory with 20.8% of the vote. The Finns, the country's right-wing populist party, won 20.1% of the vote. And Marin's party, the center-left Social Democrats, garnered just 19.9%.

With such closely split results, the NCP will look to assemble a coalition government, which will likely take weeks of political maneuvering. More than 2,400 candidates across 22 parties ran for a seat in Finland's parliament, according to a tally by the Associated Press.

Then presumably you’d be a fan of ranked-choice voting (as, I think, would I).

And just now, with 64% of the votes in Wisconsin counted, the Democratic candidate for Supreme Court, Janet Protasiewicz, has been declared the winner. This was a pivotal election because if the republican had won, he would have made a 4 to 3 republican election denier majority on the court.

Yay for the non-fascist candidate!

Is it cuz IRS agents showed up to harass his favorite writer at his house on the day he testified before Congress?

2023.
Nothing like having a Mayoral race in Chicago to show how race plays a MAJOR factor in 2023 politics.

From a Black friend of mine....
Don't ever let anyone tell you that an election in the most segregated city in the country isn't about race. Vallas had more Black people in his ads than he has ever met in person. Disgusting. Exercise your right. Use your voice. Our lives depend on it.

From a White friend of mine....
FRIENDS, if you live in Chicago, I urge you to VOTE! Every single VOTE counts. Request mail-in ballots to be sent to your kids at school, so they can cast a vote for Paul Vallas. Our city will be literally destroyed if Paul G. Vallas doesn't win. Please share with everyone you know. We need you #votepaulvallas #paulvallasformayor #paulvallasforsafecgicago

No, I am not happy Johnson won and I feel our city is fucked. Not that I felt Vallas was the Messiah but of the two, I felt he was the better option for ME and the majority of the people in the city.

Seeing the standard bearer for your grand old party being relentlessly and unfairly persecuted seems to be taking a toll on you. I hope you got some sleep last night.
