McCaffrey done.
Kills me fantasy wise. Feel worse for him and the 9ers.
The 49rs have seen their window close
aww shucks...gosh darn. Those nice, wonderful fans? A real, crying shame.

I'm no 9er fan, but I hate to see anyone get hurt. McCaffrey may be done permanently. Seems like a good guy and it really does suck.

true, and to be fair, my comment eas more directed at the 9ers windoe closing, not at Mccaffrey or his injury

Shanahan has donkey stank on him. I'm no Purdy fan either. I don't think they make the playoffs this year.

On July 12th I bet the 49ers to beat the Chiefs in the Super Bowl at 32-1 odds. I bet the Chiefs to beat the 9ers at 31-1 odds.
Based on last season, I felt those were pretty good odds.
Today, I would happily sell those wagers at a loss.
Worthless Predictions.....
AFC East - Bills
AFC North - Steelers (win tie breaker over Ravens)
AFC South - Texans
AFC West - Chiefs
Wild Card - Ravens, Chargers, Broncos
AFC Championship - Bills/Chiefs
NFC East - Eagles
NFC North - Lions
NFC South - Buccaneers
NFC West - Who the fuck knows?
Wild Card - Commanders, Vikings, Packers
NFC Championship - Lions/Eagles
Super Bowl - Eagles/Chiefs (Sorry Jason Kelce)
Super Bowl Champ - Chiefs

This guy is good, really good. The way he explains the biomechanics and mechanism of injury in these videos, making the information understandable and accessible to lay-people, is nothing less than excellent.
He composed, edited and put this video out ~ 11:00pm last night, (best I can tell), and that's not nothing. And, he'd already made the diagnosis based only on video. Because of the mechanism of injury-the way McCaffrey fell, his diagnosis makes perfect sense, but there are legions of physicians who wouldn't be willing to stick their neck out and risk their credibility and reputation like this. (I know, it's only YouTube, but still...no physician ever wants to be "wrong", especially publicly.)
Also, unlike so many of the other "doctors" on YouTube, he does our profession proud.

Anyone else see this hit?
It made me want to vomit.
3 game suspension. league calling him out for continued unsportsmanlike (numerous instances previous to this) behavior that puts others at risk
good, but not enough for dirty players (imo)

3 for me is right in the range of what i'd give if he was known for shit like that.
2-4.
A 1 time deal without history of plays like that would be 1 game.
Of note, that keeps him out of the Chiefs game so he can't do that to Mahomes thankfully.

Seems like the right number given what other players have gotten for that situation. We don't need forearms to the face of a sliding QB. The whole "Lawrence slid late" shit is nonsense. That move by the defender would have hit him below the knees if the QB didn't slide so any "he was just trying to tackle him" argument is total bullshit. He was clearly intending to hit him where he did. Just glad he'll miss the Chiefs game now as KC should welcome any advantage they can find and I don't want a guy like that anywhere near Mahomes.

What is stance on lab created and weaponized viruses?

Interesting take here...
WTF does "slide late" even mean? He isn't sliding late, stop saying that as if the guy is doing something wrong. The only way you can call it "late" is if you are implying that the QB must complete his slide before any defender gets within arms reach of him.
What's the defender supposed to do? Not deliver a forearm shiver to the fucking facemask when that facemask is 12 inches off the ground. That's what he's supposed to do.

Mark Schlereth is the King of Dumb Takes.
former defensive players are really sounding dumb, and trying to turn this into an issue of QBs taking advantage of protection rules
