Not a lot of better running SNL skits than Celebrity Jeopardy!
between Burt Reynolds and Sean Connery, there may not be a better, more timeless skit
suck it, Trebek! (RIP)

My daughter and I picked up the grandkid at daycare yesterday and took her to a park. Kid ran around and had a great time. On the way home, kid is in the car seat and takes off her shoes. Mom says, "don't do that. Leave your shoes on."
Grandpa says, "Say 'But my Rights!!!!'"
Kid starts repeating "But my rights!!!"
Mom is not happy that kid will repeat this at Spanish immersion day care.
Still funny.

Most times when I travel by airplane I experience how much of a farce USA Airport Security is.
Yesterday did not disappoint.
Example 1.
Printed boarding pass given to me. I go to the Mens Room to take a shit. I leave my boarding pass on top of the toilet paper dispenser. Thought to myself, they don't check IDs at the gate when you board the plane and if I had left the boarding pass on the toilet paper dispenser, ANYONE could have taken it, boarded my flight, and..........
Example 2.
Two older couples sitting together at my gate. They let the gate agent know that there is an unattended backpack that has been sitting on a chair for a long period (at least 20 minutes) of time. They saw the person who left it there and that person didn't return. The gate agent called security. The gate agent told the couple and me not to worry being that the bag had to have gone through security. Approximately FIFTEEN minutes later a heavily armed and protected security agent showed up AFTER the person returned and picked up the backpack and walked away. Me being me, I asked why it took them 15 minutes to show up - and I got nothing but ignored. The gate agent told me "It wasn't an emergency".
I said, OK but none of us knew that for sure and being that there were two other security agents (one with a bomb sniffing dog) they must have felt it was somewhat concerning".
I then added, if they really wanted to be thorough perhaps they should find the person and if not "question" the person why they left the backpack there unattended for a long period of time, at least tell the person they can't do that again in the future.

Checked in waiting 2 hours for the flight. Two corporate doooochbags are pacing around using every buzzword they can think of, trying to out-dooochy each other.

I saw that on one of the National park social media pages. Lots of missing persons, it seems. “Florida woman” really ups the ante. Big bummer either way.

Coming back to Chicago and then being made aware of all the SHIT that took place within a 2 mile radius of me yesterday - made me decide that when my mother passes away, I am 100% out of here unless things (such as a new Mayor, Police Superintendent, Cook County State's Attorney, Judges, etc. - who give a fudge about crime) drastically change. What a fricking crime ridden shit hole this city has become!
Heck, I'm going to be screwed trying to get home from Wrigley tonight knowing that the Red Line (train) is a bad option as well as many streets being blocked off (as they were last night) due to the Mexican invasion (celebration of Mexican Independence Day in which it seems literally 10s if not 100s of thousands of Mexicans feel the need to drive up and down Lake Shore Drive honking their horns).
Last 24 hours of KNOWN (plenty of unknown) activity in review......
1. Two Cops purposely run over by a car.
2. Person shot in Grant Park.
3. Person armed with gun "waving it" at people at Ohio Street Beach.
4. Woman "assaulted" at parking garage on Ontario Street.
5. Man Stabbed at FOUND hotel.
6. Wacker and Clark "shots fired".
7. 2 N. Riverwalk an "assault".
8. 300 N. Michigan people jumping on top of the bus and the bus can't move.
9. Three people shot at 1200 N Clark (not related to #6).
10. The Mexican Invasion
They were going around the blockades/barricades of salt trucks and police cars, going the wrong way down streets, getting out if cars and running through traffic, etc., etc., etc., knowing the police weren't going to do squat.

just going for Devil’s advocate downer pity here, but -
why wouldn’t you come up with some alibi?
Dude went to one end of the country with his fiancee and came back without her. You didn’t spend that whole drive back thinking up a story to tell?
Or, in the absence of any evidence or witnesses otherwise, maybe shutting up and getting a lawyer is all he needs…at least as far as the law is concerned.
But what about like just to friends and family and the community and shit? Every time everyone says hey aren’t you that dude whose girlfriend went missing out west and you drove home anyway, you just gonna go all Johnny tight lips for the rest of your life
