Old news and dumb news.
If the "negative" ads are the truth, then why stop telling the truth?
Fuck Donald Trump!

I know, I fee both ways about that.

There’s so much negative news that could be addressed about the current administration.

But then again, I just think this election in particular is a good one for a candidate to take the high road.

Obviously not scientific, just curious - what do ya'll see in terms of political yard signs?

I started counting today when biking around the neighborhood. 9 Biden signs, 0 Trump. I actually haven't seen a single Trump yard sign anywhere, this entire summer/fall.

I see very few yard signs here.

A few weeks ago, somebody put up a bunch of Trump signs along the highway. They were gone the next day.

Couple days later, somebody put up a bunch of Biden signs. They too were gone by the next day.

Then the other day, somebody put up a sign along the highway right as you’re leaving town. It’s a patriotic looking political yard sign, but simply reads, “any actual functioning adult 2020”

The sign has remained up since.

No signs of any sort in and around our neighborhood. I’d be surprised if any Republican wins 30% in any county in our area.

In my neighborhood and extending out to our area school district, I see probably 3 to 1 Biden signs. Overall around town, I see far less Trump signs than in 2016 and far more Biden signs that I did Clinton signs in 2016.

That's the part I found interesting - not just all Biden signs, but the fact that I don't recall seeing any Clinton signs in 2016 in this same area.

I hated having to vote for Clinton in 2016. I will happily vote for Biden in 2020.

Um.

https://www.kansascity.com/news/politic ... ssion=true
Trump leads former vice president Joe Biden, 51-46%, according to responses conducted by Remington Research Group, a GOP polling firm based in Kansas City.

That could indicate a change from 2016, when Trump took Missouri over challenger Hillary Clinton by an 18-point margin. Republican candidate Mitt Romney defeated Barack Obama by 10 points in the state in 2012, while Republican John McCain took Missouri over Obama in 2008 by less than a percentage point.

I'll preface this with, remember when Missouri was a swing state?

Remington is C- pollster. There actually hasn't been any quality polling in Missouri, which is actually the more intriguing part. Unpolled/under-polled areas are the most ripe for the upset. Which is why I'm intrigued by Alaska. But for an upset, you are going to need the cities to turn out massively, and the middle of the state to be complacent/indifferent, and I just don't think that's going to be the case here. Even if it was quality polling saying 5 points, that's still a massive climb. Missouri is firmly "Trump Country," and hits all the hallmarks for his base. AK has a little more of a mindset that might sway to the Dems this go.

I remain confident that Biden will pick up at least one or two "solid R" states.
