Poor Biden. He gets a free pass on almost everything because he's not all there. Of course, they are not really planning on him staying in office for long, thus handing the keys over to the most dangerous candidate of the final four. States like California are about to see a homeless crisis like you've never seen, and Harris will make it much worse.

16 point lead, basically mirroring Trump disapproval rating. I think people getting polled have just gotten sick with trump's ish. Before they might hold their nose, but sounds like right now they are done.

Which is good, as there is a ton of early voting going on right now, and skewing Dem. GOP might (just might) stay at home at higher numbers this go. Going to be a heck of a next four weeks.

And this is on the heels of the NBC +14 poll yesterday.

If the true number right now is above 10 - let alone in the teens - we're headed toward boatrace territory.

Don't hold your breath on GOP voters staying home.

There might be record voter turnout across the board for both parties.

Let's just hope it helps down ballot. Lot of "getable" seats. Should be able to flip 4 easily, lose Bama, and hopefully nab about 3-4 more on the weakness at the top of the ticket. Probably a bigger majority in the house. State Legs flipping. Redistricting starting in a few months. Trump winning 2016 might be the worse thing that ever happened to the GOP. Way worse than Nixon.

I think we are all aware that polls are nice indicators but I say this too often, unless EVERYONE is polled and EVERYONE tells the 100% truth, a poll will never be a perfect representation of what's to come.
So why put so much value in to them?
Next thing we are all aware of, you would be foolish to care more about the popular vote than the "Electoral" vote - as we have learned the hard way.
I am 100% confident that this election and its validity will be questioned by MANY. Forever. No matter the outcome.
As it probably should be. No matter the outcome.

I know you just want the equivalence to be true, but I'm just not sure the math adds up here.

How many more voters will be motivated to vote for Trump now, as compared with four years ago? He hasn't done anything to expand his base. I suspect there isn't a huge group of folks who will vote for him now that didn't four years ago.

And on the other side of the fence - Hillary was a historically unpopular candidate. And Trump has been a historically bad president, in ways that hit home with lots and lots of voters.

In other words - it's just significantly easier to see where the Democrats gain votes over 2016, as compared with the GOP.

Other than white men, Trump hemorrhaging support from groups that put him in the WH in 2016.

When you lost the popular vote by 3mm last time around (and won the EC by the skinniest of margins), and you've had a very bad first term, and the best thing you can say is that support remains strong among a majority of your base...

...you're in deep, deep shit.

I think the BLM protests and vandalism that followed + the anti cop rhetoric by some on the left + the pandemic shutdown stuff will entice some/many GOP voters who typically sit on their ass and don't vote to get out and vote this year. Just my guess.

Trump 34 points underwater with women. Trump's only saving grace is Walrus toxic masculinity crew wanting to burn it all to the ground to grasps for the last era of inherent power.

but the same could be said regarding dem voters

the mess that is covid, in my mind, only increases the dem turnout because the gop has sat on their hands throughout, resulting in the current situation

i really don’t see how covid motivates gop voters, particularly with trump now being infected
