The 07 Spurs and 14 Spurs won NBA titles in a league with more competition from top to bottom, more athletic players, more skilled international players, more players who benefited from state of the art training -- just generally a better product. The 13 Spurs were shocked by a Ray Allen miracle.
They also included one of the top 10 players of all time in Tim Duncan.
No other 90's team, besides the Bulls who I mentioned would challenge these Spurs teams, had a player of that caliber, nor did they have a trio of talent as good as Parker, Duncan, Ginobli or Parker, Duncan and Kawhi.
In order to make sure Jordan's legacy stays intact ( from the obsessive Jordan fans ), the teams he competed against also have to be better than the teams of 2000, 2010 and today, when in fact, the Spurs would have been at least the 2nd best team of the 90s.
"The 13 Spurs were shocked by a Ray Allen miracle". Well, it was game 6, he hit a 3, and there were still 5 seconds left in regulation. Game went to OT and they lost.
Remind you of anything?
Let me guess, you DON'T think Memphis was the better team against Kansas in 2008.
Related side note to Game 6 of 2013. I assume you realize the Top 10 player of all time Tim Duncan scored as many points in the 4th quarter (and overtime) of that game as I did.
Shit, if he made just one of the 4 bunnies that he missed in the 4th quarter the Spurs would have won the championship.

If Memphis was the better team against Kansas in 2008 then how come Kansas had more points than Memphis when the final buzzer sounded?

That Miami team would also be the 2nd best team of the 90's.
Bron top 2 player all time.
Wade you'd probably put in the top 30.
Bosh perhaps a top 100 player.
So the fact the 13 Spurs lost to that super team says a lot about the talent of that trio ( plus RIO! ) on Miami.

Excellent question. I felt Kansas was the better team going in to the game and after the game.
That being said, the better team GOING IN TO THE GAME doesn't always win the game.
As we KU fans know all too well.
This ^^ is just another example of you being wrong
Maybe go refine your Rodman argument and try again.

Paul Pierce's Top 7 players of all time in no particular order:
Russell, Kareem, Magic, MJ, Duncan, Kobe, Bird.
Truth.

I'm not watching 27 minutes, but is this where Pierce says LeBron never built anything from the ground up?
You know, like an idiot.

I'm torn. I feel it's not a great excuse for excluding him from his top 5 list but it also is a valid reason to include those he did in his top 5 list.

If he didn't build a team from the ground, what do you call what happened in Cleveland from 2003-2010?
It's a valid reason to include/exclude people from lists, I'll agree, but to say he didn't do it is flat out crazy talk. Even the biggest anti-LeBron guys can see that, lol.

Don't have an argument from me but I think P2 and JRose might feel it don't mean a thang if you ain't win a rang. I happen to disagree but again I will say, it's a valid reason to include those he did in his top 5 list.

Paul Pierce is now a TV personality. It's his job to make hot takes. He's doing his best Skip Bayless impression by making such a ridiculous statement. He is entitled to say whatever he wants, but it doesn't make it right.
Now if he said top 7 organizational cornerstones or something like that then maybe (but even that is a stretch, he's a player not a GM and the Cavs GMs/onwer have proven to be hot garbage by making some of the worst draft picks of my lifetime)...but a top 7 players of all time list without Lebron and Wilt is too silly to take seriously.

i’d like to see a compilation of the NBA’s top 50 players’ personal top 5 or 10, then tally who has the most votes

Me too but it would be difficult to get a top 5 or 10 from the dead guys. Just sayin'.
