Pence probably has some very unique friends that gather every third Friday at the Indianapolis Sheraton, but I assume a good chunk of Congress does as well. I just don't care about such things.Pence wouldn't throw bombs in federal agencies, and probably wouldn't hang out a quarter million people+ out to die because he's too vain to wear a mask.

NiceDC wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2020 3:22 pm Bezos could fund the whole thing. Unfortunately, you cannot earmark donations to the government. I think it has to go to the general fund. And I don't think anyone wants a private company, especially one so anti-Trump, to handle ballots.
Is there anything that stops a State Secretary of State from contracting with UPS or FedEx to deliver ballots? No postmark needed. Just have a validated barcode scan for delivery and acceptance of ballots. They can then easily encrypt the barcode so that you cannot introduce counterfeit barcodes into the system. You also ensure a paper backup which the Diebolds don’t have!

Probably depends each state's laws, but having companies do the state's work will add more fuel to the fire. It just needs to be the USPS, and we just need to get it fixed. It's just as simple as that.

But adding to a new level, basically calling out poll workers for being corrupt. This is how my state does a lot of their mail in. There are boxes in town only for ballots. You just drop them in and they get taken to the election offials.

I enjoy (well, not enjoy) how he now appends a question mark to statements that would otherwise be controversial or even illegal. It's like he thinks he's the smartest dog in the litter, for having figured out not to shit inside.

Honestly it's the same level of intellectual achievement that my fourth grader has, when she tells you she knows something (obviously does not), and just says "I can't tell you" what she knows.

Trump says he will send law enforcement, US attorneys to polls in November to prevent fraud

When asked by Fox News host Sean Hannity late Thursday night if the president was going to "have an ability" to monitor and avoid fraud during the upcoming November elections, Trump said, “We’re going to have everything.”

“We’re going to have sheriffs, and we’re going to have law enforcement. And we’re going to have hopefully U.S. attorneys, and we’re going to have everybody and attorney generals,” the president continued.

The president once again criticized the practice of mail-in voting, alleging that “anybody can sign” the universal mail-in ballots, specifically naming the system in Nevada.

“Nobody’s ever heard of anything like this,” he said.

“They may send them to all Democrat areas, not to the Republican areas as an example,” he added. “Could be the other way too, but I doubt it.”

All I really take from that is further confirmation that Trump is constitutionally incapable of comprehending large numbers.

Rig the postal service. Threaten polling sites with military and/or law enforcement presence.

What does this sound like to you?

I am frightened to think of what someone competent, focused and actually-principled could do with the machine that's been built.
