lololol I was certain Wiggins would be a better pro than Embiid lololol
I think you're assuming the Nets "big 3" will all be healthy. I hope they will be throughout the playoffs but I wouldn't bet on it. If they are not, the Bucks just might be able to give them all they can handle and the 76ers (with Joel) would be a tough series to win too.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:04 pmNah. They aren't getting by the nets anyway. They will win this series against washington with or without Embiid since they already have the 3-1 lead. He will be fine in a few days. He walked off the court. Even played a few possessions after the fall iirc.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 3:59 pm Joel doubtful for G5. I definitely feel like there is some legacy on the line here.
I am assuming they will all be healthy because they are all currently healthy. Nets are heavy vegas favorites to win the east (and the title tbh).MJ23 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:09 pmI think you're assuming the Nets "big 3" will all be healthy. And one could argue that the NBA being watered down by 6 new franchises during Jordan's prime, adding a bunch of players that would previously have been playing overseas, helped him win his NBA titles and look as great as he is perceived. All sorts of things could be argued if you choose to.MJ23 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 3:22 pm One could argue, well....They were inducted in to the Hall of Fame because they were being compared to those before them - who probably weren't so great - which made them look better than they were.
Also, were they inducted solely as NBA players or were their college careers a factor too? I honesty don't know.
But I agree with you in that as I said before, Kareem played against "collectively" some great Centers in the NBA.
I would not safely assume he returns for next series. That’s where legacy comes in.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:04 pmNah. They aren't getting by the nets anyway. Heck, at the rate we are going with fans trying to one up each other, it might be a legitimate concern that a fan might injure a player.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:11 pmI am assuming they will all be healthy because they are all currently healthy. I am also assuming as asteroid doesn't destroy earth before those hypothetical match ups.
I was certain he'd be a better pro than Jayson Tatum too....but Embiid and Tatum are either harder workers who have improved themselves more than Wiggins, or they simply had more potential to unlock than Wiggins even though Wiggins is more athletic.
True!MJ23 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:13 pmHeck, at the rate we are going with fans trying to one up each other, it might be a legitimate concern that a fan might injure a player.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:11 pmI am assuming they will all be healthy because they are all currently healthy. Yeah, I'm just thinking about the SI cover of him next to Wilt -- he never really had a chance to meet expectations. I think his drive-to-be-great/aggressiveness is key, but also something as basic as ball handling and ability to create off the bounce. He's just never really had it and might explain his lack of aggression.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:14 pmI was certain he'd be a better pro than Jayson Tatum too....but Embiid and Tatum are either harder workers who have improved themselves more than Wiggins, or they simply had more potential to unlock than Wiggins even though Wiggins is more athletic.
Another example that having more athletic ability does not always equal having more basketball potential. There is more to it than running fast, jumping high, and having long arms.
All that said, Wiggins still having a pretty damn good career. Just not exactly what we envisioned or hoped.

Philly is up 3-1. Unless it's game 7 (it's not) they don't "need" to win shit tonight.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 5:31 pmMight be better to drag it out a bit so embiid can rest.
