Obviously, we need more guns:
Randall will tell you that it’s - especially in this example - the people, not the guns. Absent the guns, the people would have killed each other with frying pans or dad jokes or something.

Now, we're getting somewhere:
I member in 2013 when the F5 Moore OK tornado tore through schools.
The OK legislature jumped into action! We must protect our children!
There was immediate talk about having a storm shelter built in every school in the State, it is a priority! We are in tornado alley! I know a couple of engineers who are storm shelter experts, they went out to speak to teachers/legislators/parents.
And then they found out what an actual FEMA standard storm shelter costs. Who is going to pay for this?
When the 2018 IBC came out it required storm shelters for schools, the City of Tulsa adopted that Code and added an amendment that struck the section requiring storm shelters. In the meantime many Oklahoma high schools have football stadiums that would be the envy of small colleges. Today less than 1/3 of all K-12 schools in OK have a storm shelter.
You won't see a lot of bulletproof shelters in schools any time soon, that's my prediction.

Until some Senator’s brother-in-law gets a State contract to build these things. Then it’ll be mandatory and then completed within a couple of years

VGR!
Forgetting if you were to give that more than 2 seconds of consideration and realized how ignorant that is as a WHOLE.....
Please tell me/us why the 4th of July does NOT exist for these (and many more) people anymore.

P.S. In relation to my previous post......
The Washington Post felt the need to share my good friend's wife's story.
These are but mere human sacrifices to the Gods of the Second Amendment.
F R E E D U M B !!!!!!!
I use some sarcasm to deflect the extreme anger and sickness I feel about why we’re literally the only “civilized” country where this happens. It’s a surprise that we’ve gotten this far in spite of the Second Amendment.

I am not a religious person; I do not believe in a physical construct of the afterlife. But if one exists, holy shit must James Madison's complaints line be a long one up (or down) there.

Madison and Jefferson are very disappointing in retrospect.

Just so we're all on the same page here (and trying to avoid escalating language as much as possible):
1. Pubs refuse to enact restrictions on assault rifles.
2. Trump posts Obama's home address on social media.
3. Rube sees Trump's post, adding "We got these losers surrounded! See you in hell, Podesta’s and Obama’s."
4. Rube is arrested with "two firearms in his van: a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield and a Ceska 9mm CZ Scorpion E3. But another 18 guns registered in his name have not yet been recovered, [authorities] say. A June 30 search of the van also uncovered 'hundreds of rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition, a steering wheel lock, and a machete.'"
Now, what will happen is:
5. The neighborhoods where Obama and other former officials live will be further "hardened", to protect from threats like this.
6. The rubes will scream that this "special treatment" is further evidence of the D "political elite" living high on the taxpayer hog.
This short video deals with a number of subjects, like Trump blocking the CDC director from testifying before congress in a hearing on July 17, 2020 about attempting to reopen schools that fall. But the most impactful part for me begins at ~ 2:16 with the 911 calls recording of people calling during a mass shooting in a food court. Of course, republicans subsequently threatened to filibuster any attempts by democrats to strengthen gun laws at the time, because they're a bunch of cowards when it comes to doing anything that will upset the NRA or their supporters with small dicks:
Gee, on a Friday night go to a HS Football game in Oklahoma, or a MLB game in Chicago, and....
Either get yourself shot or see someone else get shot. USA! USA! USA!
