Here’s the reality: 27 days until the election. Pence and Trump aren’t making up the ground they need in the polls, especially with these plans of attacks.

Pence needed to be a lot better to stop the bleeding. He was good, but there wasn’t much difference between the two.

Did she get near anyone other than her husband?
I didn't think there was a crowd there other than spouses and a small amount of others?...or has she been tested today? I think the mask judging goes a bit over the top at times, especially in a setting like this when the only person she clearly got near was her husband.

That was dumb. The moderator did nothing to move it past talking points.

Finally a candidate mentions the deficit. About damn time. Good for you Kamala.
Yup.
...but then follows it up with free college for millions of people. I just don't think that is going to work. There are already people coming out of college and not being able to find jobs. College is not necessary for many well paying careers. There are going to be shortages in many skilled trade fields over the next several decades, and as we move to new industries involved with renewable/green energy there are going to be even more opportunities in those fields for skilled labor. Not saying college is bad, becuase it is far from that, but it also isn't something that in reality is required to make a good living.
I don't get it and completely agree. That doesn't appeal to the American ideal and culture. There's a reason Biden trounced Bernie when it was down to the two of them - act like it.

I like when Pence said that Trump's doctors would continue to be as "forthcoming as they have been".

It was a draw tonight, which ultimately benefits Trump/Pence. I was concerned Harris would come out tonight on fire, but that didn't happen. She did well enough to hurt Pence on some areas, and Pence did the same. But like the first debate for Biden, all Pence had to do was not screw up, and he did well. There's more pressure on Trump to do well in the next debate, as Biden won the first, and this one was essentially meaningless.

I actually thought pence did better than her tbh.
But i don't think it matters much anyway.

Maybe, but I don't really think Pence won many new voters. As you mention, I don't think this mattered much. We need better moderators that force these people to answer the questions before moving on.

Agree that i don't think either of them won any/many new voters. Also don't think either lost any/many new voters.
This is all about turnout. Trump/Pence need historic turnout from their voters, and they need the minority voters in swing states to be unexcited about Biden/Harris to the point of just not voting.
Wasn't it something like 4.4M Obama voters sat out 2016? They need even more than that to sit out again this time.
Otherwise their path to victory is non existent it seems like (according to the polls that niceNC and Fish have shared here).

I think the opposite. It was a draw, but Pence did nothing to break the momentum that is leaning towards Biden. Pence needed to be outstanding, and he was merely ok.
Trump has to be outstanding the next 2 debates to really have any chance at swinging votes his way. And with the way he has handled everything over last couple of weeks, I don’t think he has any ammunition.
