Fish: What do you take exception with? He seems to have everything down pretty much on the nose. I can’t say that I particularly disagree with any of his theses.
I think it’s overly conclusory in several ways, especially around you ARE a bad person if you move to the South.
I don’t agree with that of course.

Better for your dog to have rabies or distemper than to risk autism, sound republican rube logic right there. On a side note I thought every dog I have lived with was somewhere on the autism spectrum scale.

The rubes want revenge for their Emperor God trump! And majority rule is just not their jam.

I feel like you’d get substantially the same percentages if you replace dogs in the question with, like, geodes.

Can the Dems and Pubs come together in the spirit of bipartisanship and negotiate the pasturing of both McConnell and Feinstein?

A product of divided government.

Agreed. But since they’ve both gotta go, I’d think there would be a path here.

Nothing to see here, just another fraudulent election.
Warren County voted 57.3 percent for Donald Trump in 2020, slightly higher than the overall state outcome. The county’s all-Republican board of supervisors appointed David Whipple as county auditor in June. Iowa’s county auditors oversee elections.
Whipple’s appointment quickly sparked outrage after his social media activity came to light. After the 2020 election, Whipple made multiple posts on Facebook insisting that the vote had been fraudulent, despite widespread evidence disproving that claim. He also shared conspiracy theories from QAnon and about the 9/11 attacks.
In the two weeks following Whipple’s appointment, county Democrats petitioned to force a special election. They gathered 3,400 signatures, about 1,000 more than they needed. Democratic deputy auditor Kimberly Sheets announced she would run against Whipple—so he placed her on leave.
Sheets handily defeated Whipple on Tuesday, winning 66.5 percent of the vote. Whipple walked away with just 33.4 percent.
Sheets’s victory is an unusual plot twist in Iowa, which has been moving decidedly rightward in recent election cycles. But it reflects a larger trend that was seen during the 2022 midterms. Voters rejected conspiracy theorists across the country, resulting in major local Democratic wins.

This is what Biden detractors claim is Biden's current status. Instead, it is the status of GOP Senate Majority Leader. This is the man who has been the biggest hurdle to meaningful legislation for the last 15 years.

Is it wrong for me to hope that when Mitch experience's these "freeze ups"...the only thing he can hear in his head is "nothin but a G thang" by Dr Dre screaming in his brain?

I loathe Mitch, but if I was a republican, I'd likely love him. Why?
Look at all he did for republicans, not only stealing the SCOTUS and packing the lower courts, but in addition to tax cuts for the wealthy too, et al, he kept democrats from accomplishing a plethora of their legislative goals over many years. I double loathe him!
Mitch doesn't need to go because of his age, he needs to go because his ability to do his job effectively is now in question.
That has applied to Dianne Feinstein x 5 for some time now. It's too bad dems can't replace her without sacrificing their ability to appoint judges, but here we are.
My $ in the differential diagnosis sweepstakes for what's ailing Senator McConnell, is a mild, partial seizure, and less likely, imo, a TIA/mild stroke. I could be wrong.

Never let a crisis go to waste: if Mitch needs to be replaced Schumer should basically state that a replacement would be handled on the exact same terms as a replacement for Diane on any committee. Or just play the same hardball that Mitch played. We won’t seat a replacement within 12 months of an election.

Both of them. But yes mcconell has been worthless for a long time. Both of them are your typical career politician who's bought and paid for. Good health is slipping away from both of them
