Of course, having some pharmacist friends, they may make you call them "doctor."
I wouldn't be calling them anything, because I would block their number and report them to the AMA.
So, I probably don't have to ask what you think of chiropractors and PhD holders demanding they be referred to as Dr. Smith . . .
If I'm calling you doctor, you're calling me Esquire.

You're confusing the term doctor with physician.
If you're comparing degrees, a PhD is higher than an MD.
But you're probably one of those assholes who tried to insult Dr. Biden.

Anytime anyone insists they call you “Doctor” it’s evidence that they are insecure in their ‘accomplishments’.
The only time anyone refers to me as “Doctor” in a professional setting is when I’m being introduced to an unfamiliar audience (professional lecture, seminar or presentation to a class....“It’s my great pleasure to introduce Dr......”) or when something has gone horribly wrong at a production plant, clearly as a pejorative (“Well, what now, Doctor”)

I agree with most of that. But I think it’s also appropriate to demand to be called doctor while requesting to see your student’s tan lines.

I'm pretty sure my former boss used to call me doctor because he'd forget my name.

My dad has a PhD.
People don’t call him/address him as doctor and he could not care less.
Similar to zsns experience I’m guessing.

A little late to this one, but this is my go to move.
I'm meeting Dr. Pete Smith.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Smith"
"Hi Petey, nice to meet you"
Works every time.

I'm leaving in about 10 minutes to go get jabbed. Starting to freak out on the needle thing.

Yeah, be strong 99. I feel for you, but yeah, the needle itself isn’t too bad.
Just go into it with the mindset you’ll get poked by a hot chick with a solid rack.

It was easier than a trip to the dentist, of which I have made dozens. It's an uncomfortable minute or so and then it's done. Keep your arm moving afterwards, drink lots of water and take some Tylenol if you get a headache. It won't mess up your vaccine.
