For all I know, they may encourage it. I'm simply wondering if they are cool with or if they frown upon their professors publicly expressing their strongly biased beliefs on "social media".

If this were actual social media where I posted under my real name and advertised the name of my employer, there might be some who would not like it I have other co-workers whom I know would agree with me, just like any place of employment. I would also argue that your posts are also “strongly biased” and in a direction that many people also find offensive. I don't expect you to keep up with my posts because lord knows there are millions and most aren't worth reading...but I'll restate a few point in response to your assumptions...

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016.

I just voted for Biden in the IL primary.

I won't vote for Trump in 2020.

I may waste it on a 3rd party candidate or i may vote for biden. Haven't really decided. If its for a 3rd party candidate it won't be because I hope they win, it'll be to make a personal choice/statement that I wish there were more than 2 choices and that hopefully maybe if enough want it that maybe someday it won't be a 2 choice Republican vs Democrat choice. I have the luxury to do that because I like in IL and Biden is winning our state no matter what... so nothing I do can "help" Trump.

The rest of your statement i agree with.
