Still can't believe this idiot was pardoned.
A lot of people in AZ liked his toughness, he just didn't cut non citizen Mexicans any slack. Maybe he was too tough for some.
Forget about the part where he was convicted of violating peoples rights?
Very convenient.

huh?

Former FBI Director James Comey has agreed to testify in private before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday, after a fight with Republicans on the committee over whether the hearing would be open to the public.

Under an agreement reached Sunday, Comey will testify behind closed doors, but the committee will release a transcript of his testimony, which Comey can then make public. Comey had initially resisted a closed hearing. ..

Pretty sad that even the former FBI director doesn't trust our government officials. No wonder this country is a mess right now.

It's not a lack of trust. It's his desire to grandstand. That's tough to do behind closed doors.

Wait, is it normal for these sorts of meetings to be behind closed doors? Shouldn’t elected public officials be more public about their business?

And wtf is the deal with the whole releasing transcripts after the fact? If we’re gonna hear everything that goes down, why not just hear it in public?

And I get that Comey likes attention, but how does this give him any less? He’s still gonna milk those transcripts for all they’re worth, right?

Comey's not a public official.

No.
yes. (see, i can do it too)

i'm not denying that he's a grandstander...that is obvious

but it's also silly to think that such committees will provide full, honest disclosure of these kinds of closed-door hearings/questionings

without such a transcript, the narrative would be (and has been previously) incredibly biased depending on whichever party is leading the questioning (and which ever party puts out a summary)

I don't. I think Comey is perfectly transparent.
