Fake Mexican Soyboy still lost despite all of the “grassroots” funding from Hollywood. Restores some of my faith in humanity.

Figures as of July, including origin of money. Still looking for final figures.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:26 amBullshitHouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 7:31 am Well, Hollywood pumped $65 million into his campaign. Game over.
Was Cruz's margin of victory this time around larger or smaller than Nelson's?seahawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:59 am Cruz won by 16 pints last time and by 2 this one, against a candidate whose name wasn’t even known to voters and who isn’t from a large population base. Who also helped a lot down ticket to flip seats.
It’s sad but predictable that those who are unable to compete elsewhere and want the nation to subsidize them and their dying small towns voted against the future and for the politics of 1968.
Hmmmm....I see no mention that your total $65 million came from Hollywood specifically.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 12:11 pmFigures as of July, including origin of money. Figure came from a Breitbart article, which would have elicited a predictable response. I was trying to backtrack the sources in the article to pull together the figure, but have been in and out of class.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 1:33 pmHmmmm....I see no mention that your total $65 million came from Hollywood specifically.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 12:11 pmFigures as of July, including origin of money. Your Trump is showing a bit.
Still prefer that to a Beta male soyboy who panders to an entire ethnic group with a mocked-up nickname. Almost as bad as Dowdy claiming that she carries hot sauce everywhere in her purse and doing the whole "I ain't in nowise tahrd" bit to appeal to the Black demographic.

Say what you will, but you won't ever see Trump wearing a grille and sagging pants to win votes.
Nazis, misogynists, and various other miscreants, no doubt.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:38 pm Ok, using your numbers:
Beto
Small contributions <$200 45.48%
Large contributors 38.39%
PAC .11%
OTHER -1.42%
Ted
Small 30.86%
Large 41.04%
PAC 3.49% ($1,400,000)
OTHER 24.62% ($9,875,427)
Looks like O'Rourke was pretty spot on about where his money came from.
OTHER accounts for $9,875,905 for Ted Cruz. Where did that money come from?
You were the one trying to throw shade over where Beto got his money from.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:43 pmNazis, misogynists, and various other miscreants, no doubt.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:38 pm Ok, using your numbers:

Don't really care. Beto is the kid of guy I just naturally want to punch in the mouth. I'm glad he lost and I'm glad the libs who stumped for him and poured money into his campaign are upset today.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:44 pmYou were the one trying to throw shade over where Beto got his money from.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:43 pmNazis, misogynists, and various other miscreants, no doubt.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:38 pm Ok, using your numbers:

You don't have the same concern for the guy that he ran against?
Wow, it is really easy to get the "punch in the mouth" response. I guess you and Donny share that mid set. Are you, like Donny, all talk in that regard?HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:47 pmDon't really care. Beto is the kid of guy I just naturally want to punch in the mouth. Meh. Feeling like it and doing it are two very different things. And I probably overstate my animosity toward him.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:51 pmWow, it is really easy to get the "punch in the mouth" response. You don't have a clue what he has or hasn't been through.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 3:02 pmjeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 2:51 pmWow, it is really easy to get the "punch in the mouth" response. He is genuinely nice and well-intentioned, but he can't think on a practical level because he has never suffered, been lonely, wondered how he would pay his bills, or anything of that sort. Life has been easy, so he assumes all of life's answers are easy.
