Dealbreaker?

With my looks and personality it would take a lot more than that to be a deal breaker . . .

My wife took my last name. She did not hesitate. Her maiden name is Fagg.

I would have loved to have taken her last name. Then I would be Galen Fagg.

Wanted to get personalized jerseys made with our two last names, and the last name of her son.

That Would have read My last name-Beets-Fagg.

Can't make this up.

DrPepper wrote: ā†‘Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:22 am Perhaps, there is some bias at play. Iā€™m a woman so maybe I am generally viewed as a harmless and nurturing person with a child. Did you ever consciously or subconsciously feel weird or judged when you were with the child in public without her female parental unit?
No. It's actually the opposite. Most people give me a positive vibe when I've got the kids in public without my wife. Like its "cute" that a dad has his kids alone in public. The kids are also total chick magnets if people think you're responsible and loving single father. People definitely view and treat and view dads differently than mom's when it comes to children and having those children alone in public.

You mean it's possible for things to not be completely equal for men and women without people freaking out? Who knew.

Like if I'm at dinner with the wife and kids and the kids are loud, then people stare and assume we are not being good parents....if I'm at dinner with the kids and no wife and the kids are loud, then a lot of people think it's cute or smile and give me the "oh boy you've got your hands full today" look.
