There is more to border security than just a wall.
Weird analogy.
That's the fucking point and the entire argument of the Democrats opposed to giving him $5 billion for a wall.
Politics in the 21st century dictates that you want, you cry, you scream, you fight for whatever the opposite is that the sitting president desires. If the sitting president says we need a wall, then the opposition desires for the opposite of a wall. If the sitting president says we don't we need a wall, then the opposition desires for a wall. If the sitting president right now tweeted that we do not need a wall, his opposition would almost instantly tweet that we do.
I can predict accurately, 100% of the time, what the opposition will desire.
I wholeheartedly disagree with this in this specific case. If Trump had shown a desire to actually improve the border by consulting the experts on the ground, applied the money he has already received towards the items those experts recommended and asked for more money to continue to do the same then he would most likely have the money and the Dems support.
But we all know why Trump wants what he is digging in to try to get and it's not a desire to improve our border security in the most fiscal and humane manner possible. It's to try to win votes for his re-election. Period.
Anne Coulter and Rush Lombaugh let him know what will happen if he compromises and does what is actually best to address the problem. The Dems are simply refusing to help him out by giving a ton of money to an ineffective solution, as they should.
