And, of course, closed and providing 0 benefit to children currently.
Our building is closed but my kids are still getting assignments and interacting with their teacher via apps and tablets. So we are getting more benefit than zero.

Are kids in Oregon just sitting around the house with no school work assigned to them in a week where they weren't scheduled to be on Spring Break? Every other school system that I have heard about from friends and family is still assigning work to students so curious as to why kids in Oregon aren't doing any school work.

Or I speak about what I have experience with, which is how our school system is handling this. I was hoping that TDub was an adult and would respond with a comparison of how the school system he is speaking about is different but alas, I got not one but two smartass responses.

SLC public schools are, or at least were the last i heard, still assigning work and having online classes. the week of our earthquake they were supposed to disperse thousands of laptops...then, the quake damaged some of the schools that were supposed to be pick-up points. not sure where it all stands as of this moment, but there was talk of ending the school year on time so long as a majority of students took the online courses and assignments seriously.

I know kids or people with kids in more than a dozen states and I have not heard of any of them who were not doing work online. Most also have guidelines in place where teachers prepare packages of physical papers to provide as assignments to student who do not have reliable internet. They make them available and the students family picks them up at an agreed upon location.
So that's why I found it curious as to why Oregon teachers were, according to TDub, doing nothing. I guess you could be technical and say that if they are just handing out assignments that they arent providing additional value but that dismisses the amount of work needed to administer this hot mess during all of this.
What this mess does expose is how prepared a school system and their employees are for when things go off script and you have to scramble to deal with a new normal.

Come on kids! No worries anymore! We're safe from the virus when we have people like this outstanding gun wielding person in our country to protect us! Or is he protecting us from the Mexercans?
Maybe he's a big fan of the 2nd amendment and is out there to protect himself and the rest of us from the Gummernment?
I would love to hear from him why he's out there dressed like that, and armed like that, and in that pose.

Is his face covering to protect himself from COVID-19 or to keep from being identified should he shoot someone?
