That's the ball game folks.

The ball game was when the schedule was announced.

It was a fun half. Getting there to competing with programs longer than a quarter or the first few drives. Still a ways to go.

Les made the gulf too wide too quickly.

Let the game play itself out.

Review all Kansas good plays 100-percent of the time. Take 10 minutes doing it too.

They were competitive and that is all I can ask for.
Les, on the other hand has to do better. That is inexcusable to have those type of errors especially when your team needs you to be perfect.

Hawks cover. If not for the missed 14 point swing in the 2nd quarter.

I’ve said multiple times and even when Les was hired. He’s great during the week and during recruiting. Game day coaching is lacking, but still more competent than what we had as fans under Beaty, Weis and Gill.

Mike Lee also had a poor game.

I know Hurts wasn't out of bounds, but he's got to be smarter on that play. You're just not going to get away with those kinds of hits anymore.

The dropped pick-six

The missed tackle on the 61yd TD run in the fourth. Other people missed tackles on that play as well, but Lee dives in and completely misses the RB.

Les Miles in-game coaching: You know, KU has had issues with decent coaches like this since I started going to games during Coach Fambrough's second stint. Fambrough was stubborn with play calling (like Les Miles). Mike Gottfried was a one-trick pony. Glen Mason's defenses could not get off the field when it was third down with 21 yards to go. Coach Mangino was a red-ass that had to be instructed by the A.D. to start Todd Reesing or he would be fired. Considering everything, I'm okay with Les Miles.

6th game of his first season, at the helm of a leaky ship.

We gotta give these guys plenty of time.

Indeed.
Small victories. Covered the spread. Held them under their season average of total yards. First team to score on them in the first quarter.
Coming off the worst showing of year this team could have easily mailed it in but they fought hard. This team is a QB and an OC away from winning games.

You can be like MM and blame the refs all you want, but I remember us missing numerous tackles at the end of the game.

If you were a coach looking for a job, would you pick a job that Les took (a crappy team) or the Baylor job (a team coming off conference championships, but hit with NCAA probation)?

Baylor and that would be by a wide margin
