Still trying to figure out how to do a swap of the kneecap with Mahomes.. Any doctors on here to make that happen?

God told me he/she/it doesn't hate the Chiefs.
God told me he/she/it does hate some Chief fans.
God told me he/she/it enjoys watching Mahomes play football and had nothing to do with his injury.

P.S. Mahomie says God is GOOD!

I'm almost to the point that it would be best for him to sit the rest of the year. Not worth risking a shot at an even worse injury.

Good luck telling Pat that.

*Never mind* if you believe reports Pat has an MRI scheduled for noon today. I'm assuming that has to do with making sure the swelling has went down.

If it's a injury that usually takes three to four weeks, sit him til after the bye.
If it's a six to eight week kinda thing, shut it down.
Don't trade for anyone. Tank for the pick.

But don't run QB sneaks.
Or anything that might get him hurt.
Got it.

Not too sure the meaning/purpose of your post but I find it interesting you chose a gif from the season the Chiefs went 2-14.

Kapernick would be an excellent addition.

I agree with this. If it's a 3 week timeframe, sit him until after the bye. Chiefs have a good chance to go 2-2 over the next 4 games with Moore under center because the talent around him is really dang good. Not league best offense good, but good enough to score points and move the ball.

But anything longer than that, you sit him and let everything heal up as it should and be ready to go for 2020 season. (Even though, I still think they'd make the playoffs because the AFC West stinks)

My affinity for the chiefs would increase infinitely if this happened.

It'd be a nice gesture, but he's been out for a long time to think he could jump in and be ready on a team as good as he chiefs.

There are better options out there that could be acquired relatively cheaply via trade if needed.

It amazes me how good these guys really are. Matt Moore had never thrown a pass to any of the guys other than 'Reek before last night. That is amazing.

I'm certainly in the camp that he has to be 100% for the short and long term. If the option is on the table for surgery that will 100% clean it up then they have to take that option and sit him. The Mahomes era was never about playoffs or division titles it was about ring (s). A damn shame the season might end on the 100 yr anniversary of Clark's father starting the league and he has to hand the trophy, yet again to Old England.

Of course you trade a 4th or 5th rounder for Eli. He some how conj-ours up what is left in the tank and he plays Brady and once again pulls off the miracle. At the current state this fan base is in we can at least dream.

If Mahomes is out for the season, do not trade or spend for anyone.
You aren't winning a Super Bowl with Eli Manning or Colin Kapernick.
You are just hurting your future.

I bet Mahomes ends up fine and is out not longer than a month. But, let's lay off any sympathy for the freakin' Hunt family. Blech.

Kapernick is a disgraceful asshat who deserves to be unemployed in perpetuity. If he comes back to the NFL, much less the Chiefs, I’m done.

MRI showed dislocated kneecap. No additional damage. He'll still seek additional options but plan is for to be back after a brief absence.
