Interesting. I may give it a shot although marinating in mayo squiggs me out.

pdub wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:23 am Mayo on a burger, no thanks.

Mayo on a BLT, yes please.
Mayo in a tuna salad/chicken salad, yes please.
Pimento cheese, yes please.
Light amount of mayo in a lobster roll, potato salad or cole slaw, yes please.
Perhaps the only thing more disgusting than mayo is pimento cheese.

Mayo is so gross that restaurants try to hide it by calling it aioli or house sauce

Ketchup - No
Mayo - No
BBQ Meat - Yes
BBQ Sauce - only on BBQ Meat
Mustard - Yes, it’s simply the best condiment

Ranch - Go fuck yourself

Hot Dogs - Only at a summer baseball day game

Ketchup = Santorum of Satan
Mayo = good stuff and very versatile
BBQ Meat = yum-0
BBQ Sauce = only if it isn't too sweet and it should be nowhere near cheese
Mustard = love most of it, not crazy about French's
Ranch= David Chang is making it cool again
Hot Dogs = I like good ones with dijon and sauerkraut

Real deal aioli is pretty allsome stuff. It isn't mayo mixed with garlic and whatever crap the chef has a boner for today

For me, ranch dressing just makes every thing taste like ..........ranch.

It’s a masking agent with a below average flavor. Plus, watching people drown their pizza in it makes me want to OU ch them in the face.

Oh, and ketchup......ugh.......if you’re that hard up for ketchup, just sprinkle some sugar on some fresh tomatoes

I'm not a fan of ranch. I've seen it as a dip for pizza and served with chips in "Mexican" restaurants. Chang's version is supposed to be tasty.

Ketchup should be wiped off the face of the Earth.

pdub wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:49 am Cole slaw can just be vinegar based.
Potato salad can be made with just oil.
Lobster rolls can come with oil or butter.

Coleslaw should only be made with a vinegar base.

Fuck mayo. Never put mayo on anything.
Not a big fan of mayo. The coleslaw that they make at Primanti Bros in Pittsburgh (which they put inside the sandwich, along with fries) is made with vinegar only. I believe they said that the ingredients were just cabbage, vinegar, salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar. Probably the best restaurant coleslaw that I have ever had

As for 99's "coleslaw" (fish: it is a salad because it's Dutch for 'cabbage salad') - it's similar to what some West Coast taquerias make to put on their tacos. I sometimes use pretty much the same recipe, but also add some grated ginger. Goes really well on tostadas!

I don't eat any mustard where I cannot see at least some part of the seed - coarser the mustard the better it is!!

I dated a girl in high school. We went to her house after school to “study.” But first, she was hungry, made a turkey sandwich, and slathered mayo all over it. Then she wanted to make out. Pass. She broke up with me on the spot.

She is now a front page editor with a major national newspaper.

There is a moral in that story somewhere.

Considering many folks may be weirded out by mayo on some Freudian slip level, I’m sorta surprised you didn’t go with it bro. Homegirl likes to be slathered.

I know. She never married, and her brother told me that she considered me her guy. I totally fucked that up. Oh well. Watching midget porn isn’t so bad.

I like all the people who are like "oh god ketchup is the worst on everything!" but love BBQ sauce.
BBQ sauce is basically spiced ketchup.
