Just catching up here....while this isn’t a ‘sexy’ class with big splash, four star guys it is a very solid class that has the potential to be the building blocks for future success. How many times did we see with Beaty a class with multiple four stars and a top 20 ranking for it to complete crumble and the staff panics by trying to fill it with ‘reach’ guys and jucos. You can see that until KU starts winning and gets the schollie numbers back up these are going to be the type of classes we will see. Les is building for the long haul and the future.

Also, I just realized that Bowen makes $500k. That is ridiculous.

KJ Costello is in the transfer portal. That would be an enormous get (unfortunately, for a lot of programs).

I bet Costello ends up at Michigan.

Littrell at North Texas looking at Clint Bowen to fill his vacant DC role at North Texas.

Also really cool thing I forgot to mention yesterday. Really like what the KU group did yesterday. When a player signed a video message was played from parents/grandparents/aunts and uncles, etc.

A lot better than lego crap that kstate did.

Freaking OU did personalized logos for each recruit based on initials. Just insane.

Please take him and that bloated 500k. Good riddance.

That may be the best news of the offseason so far. Thanks for your service, Clint. Time to move along.

This was the last year of Bowen's contract. Les Miles has no loyalty to him.

It is time we truly find out if Bowen has dirt on the Athletic Dept./donors.

I heard he was the only assistant that wasn’t present at the 2020 signing party. Seems like a matter of when and not if.

His best buddy is tied up in a lawsuit with KU. Can't be comfortable.

I was listening to ESPNU Radio last night; they were talking about how (t)OSU has 6 people on staff in their creative department just for stuff like OU did.

Not at all. He won't be around regardless if he gets the North Texas job or not.

Bowen is gone. Expected to be announced this afternoon at North Texas. 21 years on staff here. Probably the last year he'll have here as long as KU wants to be a serious program.

Love the guy as a person (met him a couple of times), as a Jayhawk, but not as a coach.

The King is dead. Long live the King.

Does KU go out and hire a safeties coach? I believe Stuckey is a quasi-chaplain of sorts for KU Athletics with Big Dub but he could be a great candidate.

I’ve heard that Bowen was the ‘Kansas’ instate guy, or at the very least the local Lawrence guy. Does having that type of guy matter to Les?

Don't think he's done too well with Lawrence. Losing guys to the west often.

I would pluck someone from Mizzou's 2019 staff.

Bowen officially North Texas DC. Good luck Eagles.

Les needs to get a great guy for this role. And I’m sure he’s got plenty of contacts to make it happen.
