So I watched kill bill 2 again the other night. As a whole, superlative.

But the scene when she’s about to kill Bud in the trailer is so, I dunno, incongruent with her character.

She’s like this elite assassin, yet in this scene, she makes such sloppy mistakes. She forfeits any other strategic advantage to go with, just running into his front door? When she already knows Bud suspects something?

Come on homegirl, you knew better.

You still can't get close replicating the theater experience for many movies, unless you're spending minimum 5 figures at home. Movies still set box office records today. You don't release Star Wars or the newest Blade Runner on Netflix. The theater experience is also better than ever with strict rules and full service, unless you're opting for the $6 matinee in the burbs.

Which is why you're seeing mostly dramas being released on Netflix to take advantage of the direct access to your couch. I get why Cuaron opted for Netflix over trying to compete for screens with low hanging fruit Fast & Furious, etc.

Seeing 1917 tonight in the theaters as it looks like a movie that should be seen in theaters.
Irishman just sitting available on Netflix but at it's length, it's going to take a really lazy day.
The others seem like Red Box/Amazon Prime deals -- Parasite ( I don't like reading my movies ) and Little Women ( sigh ) will be viewing just b/c they are nominees.

1917 is better than all the nominees I’ve seen.

Why is Eminem at the oscars performing a song released damn near 2 decades ago?

Parasite is worth the reading. One of the best films I have seen in awhile. JoJo Rabbit surprised me as well. Great story, with Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johanssen putting in nice work. 1917 was neat from a filming standpoint, but the story was weak. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was enjoyable, but the ending was pretty weird. Brad Pitt deserved his Oscar for that one.

Sounds like I should see 1917 too.

It's brilliant and a non stop build with one helluva climax.
I certainly wouldn't agree with HD that the story was 'weak' - while simple/direct, it was a good story and pieced together by the directors grandfather who served in WWI.
