Can't read but I remember Self changing to a zone to stop Hummel in the 2nd half.
Then Elijah's all important steal and finish.
But yeah big part of article was how good the chess match was between Self and Painter. Painter went small. Self tried to stay big. But then pulled Withey and went Triangle and 2 in the 2nd half to stop Hummel.
Really good article if you sign up for access for the 90 days.

Half court oop tyshawn and elijah. Best play of that tournament
I'm confused why so many people think it was a such a deep oop. My memory is he was barely outside the NBA 3 point line when he made the pass. Still ballsy given the circumstances.

Ok so maybe like 30-35 ft. But down 3 pts with a minute left to play.....

Yeah the distance was one thing (quite a ways away) but in that scenario down 3 with a minute to go is insane.

The back court of EJ and Ty, IMO is very underrated.

maybe the craziest thing about that run was we did it with significant minutes from Conner Teahan.

He averaged 21 minutes a game.
He got 17 minutes in both the semifinal and final.
More minutes than Christian Braun got this season.
