Can we get the street and highway repair folks out working (with proper social distancing, of course)? It seems like a good-weather period of low traffic is a great time to fix the roads and keep money moving. Roads are certainly vital.

And maybe they are out working. I just wouldn’t know.

We have a a staff of four still working from our downtown KC location, everyone else is working from home. We have some large projects with pharmaceutical companies that make their team "essential" and they need to be in the same room to work on these.

For reference purposes their names are James, Debbie, Logan and Andrew.

They sent the rest of the office a status report this morning.

Update on the status:

· Day 1

o Everything seems to be progressing as normal. A little less traffic and a few less people to bother us. There is a sense of optimism within the office and hopes are high as we begin our new foreign journey in this abandoned world. We have come together as a collective and will now be known as Jamdeblogand. (The one formerly known as Andrew made up the name… not me.) The world is changing and Jamdeblogand hopes it is for the better, but regardless, we are united!

Replies:

-The fate of humanity rests with you!!

-I am honestly fearful of what we will find when we all come back downtown at the end of April.

Not in the city per se........just in that office.

godspeed Jamdeblogand, godspeed

Bought my puzzles 5 days ago directly from the puzzle makers, and it still haven't shipped. Starting to worry my puzzles aren't going to come :(

Started a Skyrim run yesterday. Haven't played it in since 2011/12. Looks pretty good still (although I have graphics mods on right now, can't remember how different it looked from way back when).

We have the corner lot in our neighborhood and my new home office window overlooks one of the entrances into the neighborhood along with a fairly busy street. Maybe it is because of the 'phog' but I have only seen one car go in and out so far today. Usually you would see three or four every half an hour. Eerily quiet. (I guess which is a good thing??)

Yesterday afternoon it got sunny (has mostly been cold and rainy). Every house in the neighborhood emptied, and there were dozens (if not a hundred or more) people in view all at once, walking ten yards apart as families.

Many with beers or cocktails.

Really cool to see that, I'm sure. Warmer weather is going to bring so many people up in times of trial.

Pornhub has pledged to donate 50,000 surgical masks to medics and first responders in New York City and said it will make its premium content free for users for the next month during the coronavirus pandemic.

“With nearly one billion people in lockdown across the world because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time,” said Corey Price, who serves as vice president of the adult entertainment streaming giant, said in a statement.

“We hope by expanding our offer of free Pornhub Premium worldwide, people have an extra incentive to stay home and flatten the curve,” he added.

I laughed way too hard at this. Pun intended, I'm sure.
