Police arent people? Yes. It is a chosen career.....but they are people.
Also, after reading gutters link. We might be closer to a civil war than I thought.

Supporting the police isnt a bad thing. Most people support the good police. Most people dont support the bad police.
Most people also dont support this sick fuck doing what he did.
I hate that blue lives matter is always a counter protest to black lives matter. Why do people feel the need to do that? It is a stupid and unnecessary rebuttal, usually uttered by a racist or at the very least someone with subconscious bias/prejudice. Same with all lives matter. You only hear it in response to black lives matter....nobody is yelling all lives matter about the 2 people this kid killed. Wonder why that is? (Not really, i know why it is)
I am a reasonable person. I support the BLM movement (not necessarily the organization). I also support police, just not the bad police...but even though i support the good police, i still recognize systemic change is needed and significant police reform is long overdue. Police need to be held accountable when they do things like the Kenosha cop did or what Chauvin did to George Floyd.
It is possible to feel that way. It doesnt need to be as divisive as people make it to be. Supporting black lives doesnt mean anti all cops.
Yea there is a lot of truth in this

This is the same logic that gets us tweets from the right that looters support BLM and Joe Biden. It is dumb.
I do agree this is the problem with trump being divisive, he is, there is no denying it, and it is digusting....but you can't fight divisiveness with more divisiveness.
Most people, nearly all, whether republican or democrat, whether BLM supporters or blue lives matter supporters, all can agree this kid was in the wrong and should spend his life in jail for murder.
While i think blue lives matter people are misguided in their reasons for feeling the need to counter protest black lives matter, i dont think many support what this kid did.
I am a supporter of good cops, but i am not a supporter of the blue lives matter movement because it is a fraud and is racist at its core (even if the misguided support doesnt always come from true racists). It only exists as a protest to the BLM movement, and for that alone i will never agree with it.
Like i said, many people who support the blue lives matter stuff are just unable or unwilling to truly take a step back and understand what the true meaning behind the black lives matter movement is about. They get hung up on the looting that isnt typically carried out by the true black lives matter movement people...or they get defensive and feel it should be all lives matter because they are uncomfortable admitting that for far too long black lives have been valued less than white lives.
We are making progress, but we have a long way to go.

What are you talking about? The person was reporting specifically on what they were learning from a review of his social media accounts. News on stories like this come out in small bits as it gets processed. The report that his social media accounts show he had an affinity for the Blue Lives Matter movement and for Trump are accurate.
What do you want them to do, NOT report it?!? You'd freak out about that, too.

it is nearly all they are reporting and you know exactly why. It doesnt matter who he supports. He was wrong either way.
Just like when fox brings up criminal history of black people who are undeservedly killed/injured at the hands of police. It is irrelevant.
Twocoach, i dont understand what is hard to comprehend what i am saying. And tbh, stop replying to every response i have to someone else if you arent going to add anything meaningful and are just looking to tell me i am a dipshit or whatever. I dont mean that to be rude, but you arent looking for meaningful discussion with me and we both know it. You think i am your enemy for some reason, and its much more likely our ideals and morals lineup almost identically....but you have decided i am on the other side of the us vs them war you wage on this messageboard.

So the Kenosha cops had no issues with a white guy who actually ends up shooting two people but they shot up a black guy for no apparent threat??

if one wants a contrast, consider the police reaction to Kyle Rittenhouse compared to the way police reacted to Tamir Rice.

Yup. Pretty sad. And very telling.

The thing you have to love about Tucker is he just says what's on his mind, he calls them as he sees them.
So the white trumpremacist kid who drove up to Wisconsin with his gun, in his GI Joe dress ups; was there to "maintain order when no one else would." Noble patriot.
Or he was a pubescent neo-nazi who, having been stirred up by the swamp creatures of reddit, decided it was time for him to be an internet hero and impress his cult leader.
You decide; there are very fine motives, on both sides, both sides.
Who can say for sure but this could be the next Nick Sandmann. We could see him at the next trump rally or speaking in support of Don Jr. at the 2024 RNC. The future seems very bright for the trumpemacist party.

GI Joe dress ups? Jeans and. T shirt? Social media, including reddit have done damage to the psyche of our youth. I mean, this kid wouldve probably found a way to be a pos anyway, but social media sure does make it easier

So I’ve seen conflicting reports over whether Blake was armed, and now a confirmation they found a knife on the floor of his van.
...so?
I suppose if he said something like, “I’m gonna go get my knife and take on a bunch of cops pointing guns at me in front of my kids, then maaaaybe.
But I kinda doubt he said that.
Even if he had the knife on him, so?
In the vids it’s clear he wasn’t doing acting in a threatening way. Sure, maybe a resisting and defiant way, but did he do anything threatening, or really enough to justify a “fear for my life” defense? Are cops gonna argue he was gonna take them all on with a knife? In front of his kids?
again, I dunno if anything he did warrants getting shot, point blank, in the back, 7 times.

Agree ousdahl. Tired of the "wait for the facts" people.
WHAT FACTS DO YOU NEED BESIDES THE FACT(S) THAT A BLACK MAN WAS SHOT IN THE BACK 7 TIME BY A WHITE POLICE OFFICER AT POINT BLANK RANGE.

That's nutz. Of course there should be an investigation.

Heck, have we even come that far since Martin Luther King?
And of course there should be an investigation. But I just can’t think of any other investigation - especially of an attempted murder investigation caught on video - that would take so long to come to any conclusion...that is, unless it’s yet another video of yet another cop shooting a black man in the back.
