I was very pleased with the game plan and effort by the defense against WVU. They looked so bad against Okie State the week before because half of the team was out because of COVID. You can see the progress being made on that side of the ball and they are playing a bunch of young guys.
That is really my biggest gripe for the offense. We aren't going to win any games and the fanbase accepts that so yeah, Miles gets a pass. In that case use that to your advantage by playing the younger guys. Get them reps.

With Pooka gone: Gardner is going to be good. Hishaw has a chance to be as well. RB the easiest position to recruit.
Need lots of reps for the young OL. Seems several of the upperclass OL were Beaty's juco guys.
Of course, getting Jalon back would be nice.

Does Amari Pesek-Hickson get some run too? He was a highly recruited guy. Michigan over-recruited and pulled his offer and he ended up at KU.
I'm just trying to push through 2020, because I think 2021 could see some major improvement with all these young guys getting reps.

Stephon Robinson been very quiet. He was incredible with the deep ball last year. Needs to start playing better.

I'm just trying to push through 2020, but I think the 2021 excuse will be all these young guys are so young and inexperienced, wait til next year.
Not sure how, but I'm also pretty sure we'll only have 16 scholarships to offer while simultaneously having 35 fewer scholarship players on our roster than any other school.

The how is season after season of not filling 25 scholarships. (Mis)Using gray shirts and blueshirts and guys leaving the program.
It’s why we lobbied to be able to sign 50 over 2 years with no individual season caps.

APH could be a beast. I wasn't sure why he hadn't seen much of him yet. I had recalled that there may have been academic issues coming in.

I'm saying, I'm not sure how it will happen THIS year, but it will happen. It's been the annual routine for like 8 years running now.
It's awesome. Every signing day, we can only give out like 15 schollies, while every single other university seemingly hands out 30+. Then, for 11 months, all I hear about is how we're loosing because we have a tiny roster with fewer players than everyone else. And I think, "well at least next years class might be a big one since we had so few recruits last year and we obviously didn't give them out needlessly if our roster is reduced in size compared to every single other program in the country," only to read an article just prior to signing day about how KU can only sign 16 players again because of gray shirts and blueshirts and guys leaving the program.

From what I understand is that Beaty "borrowed" heavily from Class of 2020 and the staff was hellbent on signing the max of 25 for 2020, which just means borrowing from 2021. The bleeding needed to stop in 2021.
Part of the reason I've always thought what we need is a year that doesn't count and here comes COVID.

We completely wasted his talent. Can’t blame him.

I mean, you’re not that far off, but it’s also easy to see that he was such a stud and a highly regarded guy because of what he did at KANSAS. Does he get the same recognition or even playing time like that at a different program like LSU? Not 100% sure.
But he was Kansas football for 3 years. That means something.
